This kind of humiliation is no where being seen. The most negative record of NBA history for first time, being 31-72 after first half. Sure that this team does not have a real coach, but a kid, out of NBA level. Plus an irresponsible GM, who brings every year, in last 5 years only junk and mediocre players. This team have to be reformatted from ground zero, if pretend to see a real team during playoff

Maybe what the team needs is new fans. Please, stop this nonsense (trying to be polite and avoid the words I'm thinking).

In fact, these two blowout losses show that Ainge was right when most people here asked for help at the deadline. What happened to the Raptors with PJ Tucker and Ibaka? Swept. What would have happened to us with Ibaka, Tucker, Williams, Bogut, Bogdanovic, Jennings or any name we could have gotten? Swept. What would have happened giving our nº 1 pick this year and players for Butler? Swept or one/two wins, which changes nothing. We would have lost assets, and Ainge knew that so he stood pat. He was right... again  ::) And people like the opening poster wants him fired. I guess if we had Billy King at the front office, he may hang himself. Some of you don't deserve this ownership, this front office and this coach. Period.

We can't beat these Cavaliers and Warriors right now, let's see how next summer works for us and for them.

Dario, why quote this? It's a normal reaction after such show we were forced to watch. We are all frustrated and of course, in a few days we will all talk differently. About Fulltz, Hayword, PG, Butler etc. Why bother this posts? It would be weird if we stay cool on this.

I don't think it's normal to disrespect this way one of the best GMs and one of the best coaches in the league. Even overreaction has to be kept under a little control. "Junk players"... come on!!

Don't get me wrong. I agree with you, but when you can't find an explanation for that bad game(s), it's normal that people overreact. I have my respect for players and coach in general, but I'm also searching for some answers to explain that what we all saw.

Now I understand you @IADERA, TP for explaining. What bothers me is that every time things don't go perfectly, people starts to get vocal and say nonsense instead of a little thinking. That happened in every bad streak during the season, when we didn't make a trade at the deadline, when we lost two against Chicago and now. I guess that if we lose two games in summer league, people will go to our facilities to ask for Danny's sacking  >:(

Can't people understand there is no way to compete right now with two monster teams and we are building for the future while keeping competitive rosters? This is extremely difficult, and we should thank our management for that instead of despising them.

I saw our future in Jaylen Brown. Cavs are rolling. We made the ECF great season. Lebron poured it on he hates Boston. 2010 has never left him.

The coaching has clearly been exposed though. Once the other team takes away the one thing we want to do offensively, the team is clearly lost.

I don't think even Pop could win with our Army of Misfit toys.  We lack guys who create their own offenses so we settle for jump shots and face it our guys are streaky not deadeye shooters.

We have one of the best GMs and coaches in the league. They are our main strength. We accomplished more than we could have hoped for this season, 1st in the East, making the conference finals, and getting the #1 pick. Losing to the Cavs in Lebron's prime, with a hobbling IT is not a failure. The fickleness of some fans on here is very disappointing.

Well since IT is the only thing that this team can do, it's not surprising. We don't have any leaders on the floor, which every good coach needs. The ones with that potential are young and inexperienced.

Horford is a good lockerroom vet. But he's like Allen was, quite on the floor. IT has a little PP in him, but when things go south he's quite. Smart could be out KG, the crazy yelling at everyone guy,  but lacks the experience and respect from teammates.

I think Brown will be PP type of leader, he's great in interviews, and he has that swagger when he's playing well. Kid just needs to grow up some before he takes that on.

Unfortunately I dom't know if any of the FA's are those kind of guys. I'm not even sure if PG13 is one. We might be in for the long haul with the build.

Yes, and we have to take into account that these are the first big games for Stevens in the professional basketball. This has been a great year for him also, learning a lot of things also from the stars he coached at the ASG.

Not only the players have to learn, but also coaching needs to be polished. And will, I trust CBS.

Great post.

I think you're right on the money with the length of time the rebuild will require. The Big Three era is difficult and probably impossible to duplicate. That was catching lightning in a bottle.

And, after all of Danny's shrewd moves, GMs around the league are going to be way more circumspect when dealing with him.

This is going to take a long time. Sit back and enjoy the process and the ride.

We've been way too hard on Brad the last couple of days. There are several rosters in the East he could've done even more with talent-wise. The run to the EC finals, which isn't over by the way, is Butler-esque. He's not perfect, but he is very, very good and will get better and better over time. Unlimited upside.

Just think what a disaster the present roster would've been in Doc's hands.
