I can see the eddie house comparison.  He's a hall of fame version of that though. That's a good one.  just buckets raining down from everywhere and all over the place.  House could pass the ball too but not very good.  Not very good on d either.  Totally similar skillsets though but on steroids.

I think fultz is going to be passing the ball, scoring playing d and everything though.  just all over the place.  halfcourt. full court.  lock down.  coming off screens.  driving the lane for the layup or dunk.  handling the ball in transition etc. rebounding too. Even playing some post up.

Offensively, I see Lillard written all over him with his elite shooting and pull-up game, with some Harden mixed in there with his more aggressive penetration.

But I'm just as excited about his defensive capabilities. That wingspan and length is ridiculous, and he could turn into a serious two-way weapon if he takes that side of the ball seriously. I hope both Fultz and Brown work a ton with Smart and AB on that side of the ball.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

The fact that he gets to learn from Isaiah and face smart and bradley every practice is awesome.

I always compare basketball players to football players for some reason.  just the type of athlete they are.  I think Fultz could be the best player in the nba or a top 3 one when it's all said and done at points. He's that talented.  I'm not sure he's barry sanders with a jumpshot. He's 6'4 does have those kind of moves but very fluid.  He has moves with the basketball.  he's a one man wrecking crew that way but also fluid where he's a perfect system player. If he were  a running back athlete wise i'm not sure who  I'd compare him too.  Barry sanders he is that level of player but more of a system player where there is no lost motion.

If he stays healthy and works on his physicality he is going to be one of the best players the celtics have had. He has potential to be a top 20 great imo.

I feel effort will be key. So far, he's been able to get very far without exerting himself too much. And bad habits like that are real. If he's committed to playing hard all the time, every time, we've got something there.

A cross between Steph Curry and Klay Thompson is also a good comparison imo.  West coast players but he's a celtic in mindset.  He's jerry west's worst nightmare. The national media never hypes up celtics players or the team.  I will.

No..

Both guys live on the perimeter most of tbe time..

Fultz likes to finish through contact...very crafty around the basket + can play perimeter ball

Harden is a better comparison... But his body is not there yet.

He has so many more spin moves and horse shots than Harden - a much more creative offensive player albeit potentially a less efficient one (loves the contested mid-range J).

Prime Gilbert Arenas seems like a better comp offensively, but defensively he's got length and tools like Danny Green or MCW.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Boston has a great culture for fostering that effort.  The defense fell off during the regular season, but it's clear that they hang their hat on getting stops and playing bigger than they are.  Smart and Crowder would be great for this development.  It'd be nice to have Bradley around for this reason, too.

Lillard isn't a terrible comp, but I think it understates Fultz's craftiness and use of his length and height. Lillard also seems more explosive to me.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

If Fultz is lazy on defense, he wont play. Its that simple.

Hes gonna be forced to place an emphasis on defense.

It is so good we got the first pick because I really don't think ball fits here.   We would have been looking at a totally different scenario and not nearly as good.  Fultz is a celtic through and through.  Understated but confident.  IT is somewhat flashy but hardnosed.  Fultz is understated but hardnosed. So effortless the way he scores and moves around and elevates for the shot or dunk.  Both are celtics.

I think the hardnosed part will show more in the nba than it did in college. He will have to adjust some.

I think IT is more the personality behind htis team though.  He may be more jimmy G than Brady but I think IT is our Brady.  Fultz is our Jimmy G. thing is is jimmy g is more IT in personality but IT is just charismatic whatever way you want to spin it.  It's moreso than jimmy g.
Jimmy who? Are you comparing Fultz to a backup?

Exactly

it won't matter if Fultz is Lebron James.... you need to bring it on defense 1st

People will chant fire CBS if Fultz sits on the bench..but he won't care
