Do you all quit at halftime in real life too?  They should rename this place chickenlittleblog.com.

Why not? After all, the Celtics quit after the first quarter.

just joined the game with 2 minutes left in the half. it was not a pleasant experience.  :P

from what i read the celtics have not played well. the stats show a really p--- poor shooting effort tonight. has it been the cavs defense or simply a case of crappy shooting by the celtics?

the little i saw on the defensive end did not inspire me either. sigh.  :-[

The Cavs D has been atrocious. It might not be exaggerating to say that we've had wide open shots on nearly a dozen possessions due to Cavs miscommunication on D.

We're just really not hitting shots and playing some terrible D ourselves on the other end, especially our rebounding.
thanks jp. well, there is still a half to go and the lead is not insurmountable. if the celtics heat up, they can still do it.

Danny-
PLEASE do not resign KO!!! It makes me sick watching this stiff. And the refs hate him/pick on him too.

Only two real keepers on this team- IT and Avery Bradley. And I suppose Jaylen B. for his potential, and Gerald Green for bench spark/attitude.  Everyone else is mediocre at best.
And are we EVER going to get a center/rebounder???

Tp
How did this team make it to the top of the east?

how did ATL win 60 a few seasons ago?

some teams  are built for the regular season...but when other teams play seriously...  there is little chance

celtics  outside of a few ...are full of Matthew Delladovas.... just going to grind you out...make open shots...play smart...consistent effort

but when a team full of skilled players play for reals... then..

How? Because they were healthy. In the playoffs they were ridden with injuries. BTW that Hawks team got to ECF. Are you gonna ignore this like you always do huh triboy? You know what, just watch your boy Mickey in Maine.

ok we will win the championship . you are right

no offense but where are the guys here who said the Celtics have a chance to take over the Cavs?

lol

Typical comment...gloating cuz your gloom predictions appear to be in your favor.  True fan you are. I swear you're an undercover troll.
he's just upset Mickey isn't getting any PT because his boy would certainly save the day

Yes i would...you rather play Jerebko over Mickey?

CBS plays Jerebko over Brown...so go figure

You keep defending brickmaster Smart

He has to stop shooting...CBS is the dummy giving him the green light

Nobody has the "green light" besides IT (and maybe Horford, who would never use it).  Smart takes shots that are open and he just doesn't make them.

you are a typical green teamer homer

wake up

If the Celts make it close tonight...i'm happy...all I expect is the Celts to make it past 1st round...anything further is foolish thinking

You my friend can see things clearly. This team is not getting out of the second round. And that's ok because this is far from the team that Ainge is building.

It's impossible to say anything bad about Smart in here

Too many fans overrate him. He is a huge liability on offense. 3 years in the league and he is still horrendous on offense. Good defensive role player that's it. I wouldn't miss him if he was part of a trade.

Or maybe too many haters likes to nitpick on him? I mean he's not the only problem in the game. The whole bench, not just Smart flat out suck tonight.

So you are saying he is not a liability on offense every night? You don't agree that he is basically a very good defensive role player?

Using strawman argument, huh. When did I say he's not a liability tonight? If you're gonna point fingers on Smart, also point fingers on the entire bench and Brad. Jerebko, Olynyk and Green are missing assignments, left and right that leads in an easy points in the paint by the Cavs. I guess you're just gonna ignore because all of it was Smart's fault.

Anyone still want to trade IT?

This team is HORRIBLE without him.

  • GOT IT!!!
Cavs are good but this was weak sauce by the C's. I'm pretty mad at that display coming into a big game like this. Match the energy!!!  >:(

I'm still scratching my head over the lineup that Brad trotted out to start the 2nd.  It was a disaster waiting to happen.  As much as I like IT and Horford on the court together, they need to be staggered to provide some stable source of offense.  Playing IT the entire 1st may not have been the best idea.

Ugh, same here. And what made it worse is that he kept on with it until the lead was over double digits. It's mind-blowing.

There for a second it crossed my mind that that was a secret tank move designed to miss the Raptors in the second round. That's how bad it was. I couldn't really find any other justification for it lol

so your issue is Smart's shooting?  that's it?  the whole bench was 1-12.  It's not just Smart that's having a bad night

you said in another post that this team was actually playing D.  not from what I saw but what I did see was Marcus making an effort on D even though he was overmatched when put on Lebron.

CBS needs to start

Al-KO-Brown-Green- IT4

this lineup would match better against the Cavs starting 5

just too much size in each position...need to match it
Doesn't matter who starts with the dropoff that occurs when he goes to the bench.

Why is it that these threads are always so much more active when the Celtics are losing?

And if we would manage to make a comeback and win, half the posters in here would dissapear.

Some of yall should take a long look in the mirror, my goodness.

Effort is not winning basketball

It's like you will always say effort. The guy was bad, and he is what some look for as the future.

We need better play , or else no point in giving him money.
