  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Anyone watching last nights game would have had the delight of seeing Jaylen display more sweet, delicious potential and athletic ability that is unique.
Since Avery Bradley went down, Jaylen has looked very, very good and will probably make Danny Ainge look very, very smart if he continues on this path.

So what are people's thoughts after this last 10 or so games? Has your confidence been taken to another level of expectation?

Personally I think he has all the tools to become a top 5-10 NBA player. Perhaps a top 5 player considering his age and upward curvature of his development.

What do you expect of him in 5 years time? What's most likely and what's his ceiling?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Jaylwn Brown is scoring 33.7% on 3pt attempts, and shooting 70% FT.

His shooting has been advertised as horrible, but I think Brown has such a high work ethic, that probably won't be an issue, and he might become a great shooter. Because of his athleticism, and ability to blow by defenders and free up space.

He's certainly shown flashes of greatness. I was very pleased with the pick when it happened, but deep down, I wanted Ingram.

I still want Ingram, but I'm content at peace with Brown, because I believe both of these young fellas are going to be a problem in the NBA. But man oh man... Brown worked tonight. Hustling to grab second chances, finishing for the and one, and somehow getting by with a score.

He is really something.

And only Brad Stevens, can be the precursor to unlocking this guy. I believe Smart, and Brown along with Fultz or Jackson, (who I believe Ainge is setting his sights on,) is a great young core, that we can either build around, or use as assets.

He's certainly better than I thought he would be. And I do think he has the work ethic to eventually become a good enough shooter.

In pleased with the pick, and was probably wrong to have preferred Dunn.

Omg imagine a Big 3 of Smart, Brown, and Fultz?

Salivating.

Jaylen Brown can become our next Kevin Durant one day.

A none-trade clause should be put in next contract.

Im all in.  I played intramural at Arizona, and dudes like iggy and richard jefferson would dunk on me regularly.   Brown is on that level or higher.

He's got all the tools and it looks like he's got the head to match. The future looks super bright for Brown right now. He's gotta make an all rookie team at this pace, right?

It's great watching him play right now, you can sort of see a whole new world opening up before his eyes, as he begins to realize he can do anything on the basketball court.

It is pretty cool.

Watching that alley-oop makes me wonder if he can be as good as Jordon

The guy's going to be great.  He needs to improve his ball handling.  I'm confident he will because his head's in the right place.

If evenn sniffs the midrange game of Jordan id be ecstatic.

Still id temper my expectations of Jaylen...to me he is projecting to be a nice Jimmy Butler clone...now thats not too shabby to be honest but there is no way that I see him being a superstar...if he was then he should be projecting Lebron like numbers when Lebron was a rookie but right now...he isnt

Jaylen is developing very rapidly in his rookie season, a tribute to his reported high basketball IQ and work ethic. I just hope he is now an untouchable in almost any trade scenario. Year 2 of his development is going to be something really fun to watch. It looks like he can play effectively on both ends at either the 2 or 3 giving them flexability with who they draft, Jackson, Fultz or Ball. I could live to see Ball to Jaylen and Ayton for the next 10 years.

So every nba superstar has to put up lebron numbers as a rookie? Lebron, arguably the most nba ready teenager the game has ever seen? By this logic Tyreke is one of the only players since lebron came into the league that is a super star

My dream comp for Jaylen is Scottie Pippen... definitely more athletic.

Perennial all defensive team player that averages between 18 & 22ppg.

Man I wish I could fast forward to next year where hopefully Zizic, Yab and Fultz is added to AB, IT, Jae, Smart and Horford...

Im smelling a dynasty
