I have seen him compared to Iguodala. If he reaches that level it will be great for this franchise.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Brown can start at 2 or 3 right now

He is not out of place.. has the strength...already a tier 1 level talent in terms of quickness/explosiveness

Soon there needs to be a decision on Crowder. Either he accepts a role off the bench or gets traded

I think we'll have more of an idea  after the draft. If we Fultz, he'll probably play 2 and Jaylen will back uo crowder off thr bench. Remember after this season Crowder only has 2 more years on his deal.

True

But if Brown is the better talent he should start/finish games sooner than later

That is not true - Crowder's contract runs for three more years through the 19-20 season.

And please please please let's stop talking about trading Crowder. We are about to have a VERY expensive roster (after next season). He is quite possibly the best value non-rookie contract in the whole league. He is up there with Jaylen in the untradable category. Danny has no incentive to move him.

Jaylen is going to be special.  I'm glad I was wrong about him.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Based on what I have seen this year and the developmental arc he is taking on both ends of the floor, he has a ceiling as a possible top 5 player in this league. Barring injury, his floor is probably fringe All-Star, kinda on the level of Avery Bradley good.

Seeing this from someone who I consider a more level headed and intelligent poster like yourself makes me feel less ridiculous for clicking top 20 in the poll, lol.

Why would you feel ridiculous about that?  Saying that he could be an all-star is very reasonable, given that he was the #3 overall pick and he has done nothing to show us that he wasn't worthy of that slot.

So Crowder should start bc he is on a contract friendly deal?

Brown is a better talent and should start sooner then later

If Crowder starts complaining coming off the bench (think Hayward chant)..then what?

I made my statement on draft night (look at my sig).

Welcome to the bandwagon. There's plenty of room and the drinks are in the cooler.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

I don't see a top five talent, even in best case scenario.  I mean, he's got the athletic gifts but he's a little behind already in some skill areas.  I see his ceiling as top 10 and his floor as a fringe all star.

Jaylen has had his moments, especially recently. It's easy to interpret that as progress, but honestly who knows. He has been really bad at times this season, as well. His stats for the season are decent for a rookie, but nothing impressive.

There's a chance he turns into an all-star or even better, but he also might be Jeff Green. I'm rooting for him.

Iggy's career is super underrated. He's been really good for a really long time.

At a young 20 years old, I don't think he is behind in any skill.   He even has been rebounding of late.

Too early to tell honestly. But he's certainly been trending in the right direction over the past few weeks.

I think this is the time of year where the initial shock of being a rookie kind of wears of year ffs and the game slows down. Hopefully he continues to get minutes and capitalize on his opportunities.

He seems to have a great knack for getting to the rim which we can't say about anyone else on the team except for IT. His shooting will ultimately decide on where his trajectory leafs but at just 20, he has a few years of development left.

Tremendously underrated.  Everyone thinks of "stars" as the Curry's and Lebron's of the world, and that every top-5 pick should be judged against that.

If Jaylen matches a career like Iggy's I will be ecstatic.

Sixers fan here, can confirm.

Jaylen has looked a lot better than I thought he would. He was terrible at Cal, and I hated him as a prospect coming out.
