Should I be surprised about Brown? Nope. Everyone by now should know I was on the brown train since the draft combine began. Received a lot of hate for my opinion. Funny enough people kept throwing Bender at my face who has had an awful year and is now injured. Just going to give myself a tp.

Also, loving the hate on Rozier. I'm still high on him. I think he'll figure it out. Keep the hate coming, my boy t-sizzle will humiliate the haters at the end of the day.

I'm not giving up just yet on Rozier. He seems to have a knack for rebounding, and has shown flashes of being an above-average penetrator and finisher.

I was ecstatic to see Rozier THROW the ball @ Kyrie last night-! (or was it a different Cav-?)

I think he was embarrassed that he got dunked on by Methuselah Richard Jefferson, but his reaction was kinda funny. It's good that he has some fire.

Agree that they're keepers.  Would still trade both for Butler if it saves us Brooklyn picks.

That literally goes against the first part of your statement LOL.

I wouldn't.

If you're offered Smart + Brown + filler and some random 1sts for Butler or George, no 2017 or 2018 Brooklyn 1st included, you jump on that immediately.  Without thinking.

No you are completely wrong and this makes zero sense.

Explain.

Marcus Smart is a good player. Jaylen Brown will be a good player.

The odds of either of them becoming as good as Butler or George is maybe <20%

At Jaylen's age, Jimmy Butler was still 2 years away from playing in the NBA and was also a further 2 years away from producing at the clip that Jaylen currently is. He also did not demonstrate the athleticism and offensive gamesense that Jaylen already has until he was probably 23.

The fact that you have 1. Made that call and 2. Attributed some sort of % likelihood of Jaylen reaching Jimmy's potential after one year in the league boggles my mind.

Jimmy Butler is perhaps the biggest outlier in the modern NBA in terms of year-on-year improvement. You just cannot expect any prospect to improve at the same rate: that would be like expecting any prospect to have Lebron's athleticism.

You seem to think 20% is some kind of slight to Smart and Brown. It's not. 20% is probably the highest chance you can expect of any prospect becoming a top 15 player in the NBA with maybe a handful of exceptions (Lebron/KD/AD when drafted.). It's freaking hard to become a top 15 player: that's why there's only 15 of them.

That's why despite the fact that Smart and Brown are good players with tons of room to improve, you trade both of them without a second thought if someone like Butler is offered.
