In the season, Smart is averaging a slash of 11/5/4 in around 31 minutes a game.

Jaylen Brown is averaging 6/3/1 in around 16 minutes a game.

But boy, have these two really stepped up in the last 10 games!

Brown is averaging 10/5/1 in 25 MPG and Smart 14/4/4 in 32 MPG in the last 10 games.

They've really stepped up/improved, and are starting to hit their shots. I doubt they will really regress a ton because most of the shots they are making are open looks, and it seems like Smart is starting to look deadly when he posts up against others.

Basically, I think we have keepers in these two. Fighters on the court, great defense, great hustle, and guys with high BBIQ's (Brown is still a rookie so cut him some slack at times), and honestly, they define what it means to be a Celtic IMO. Smart has that KG fire in him and Brown is starting to ramp it up.

I don't want to hear "Lets trade Smart and/or Brown and etc. for Jimmy Butler".

Agree that they're keepers.  Would still trade both for Butler if it saves us Brooklyn picks.

This makes zero sense.

That literally goes against the first part of your statement LOL.

I wouldn't.

If you're offered Smart + Brown + filler and some random 1sts for Butler or George, no 2017 or 2018 Brooklyn 1st included, you jump on that immediately.  Without thinking.

George is an expiring next summer. Want to trade that and risk having him go LA after the season?

Maybe you could make the case for Butler, but I wouldn't do it.

At this point, I'd rather draft Fultz/Jackson and go hard after a FA this summer.

Now you are saying in addition to Smart plus Brown we are adding other players and multiple 1sts. Seriously? No way I do that. I wouldn't do Smart + Brown for Butler alone much less adding more. And George in my eyes is not worth going after at this point - 1 season and he takes off for LA- no thanks.

In 2-3 years Jaylen Brown will be better than Butler.

Smart, IT, and hopefully one of Hayward/Griffin.

Explain.

Marcus Smart is a good player. Jaylen Brown will be a good player.

The odds of either of them becoming as good as Butler or George is maybe <20%

Hayward is overrated.
