Source doesn't like Celtics' chances of getting Bogut. Houston can offer more money, Cleveland best chance of reaching Finals.

Celtics can offer him bigger role than any of those teams.

Everybody loves big rolls!

Cleveland, sure.  But while Houston can offer a little more immediately, they've actually got a lot less cap space going into the future.  Of all the contenders, Boston is the only one that could offer Bogut a significant contract after this season.

I don't think that matters that much to Bogut.  The MLE is near $9 million next season.

Then I take it as a good sign he hasn't actually committed to them (Cavs) yet. I know it's early.. but.. still..
KO and Zeller, aka Hopeless and Helpless aka the Twin Towers of Futility.

Note this says nothing about Bogut's opinion or leanings. It's basically just laying out reasons he might not come here, reasons anyone could easily know.

Yeah, the source could have been me texting my friend this same thing last Thursday when he asked me about Bogut.

Yup this is from the Vertical. Not a huge surprise. Too bad, he could've given us an extra dimension on both sides of the ball.

Yeah, a lot of fans overlook how good Bogut is at ball movement. His injury was an underrated loss for GSW in the Finals.

Sorry this is all incredibly lame. Not like Williams, Bogut etc are all-stars right now, but they are not getting their market rate and all both going to the same team. You add on that they already got Korver in what seemed like a salary dump, together It really makes the league pretty boring. I realize we benefitted from the occasional Marbury or PJ Brown signing, but I really don't recall us getting 3 guys like that in a single season (and we also didn't have a league record team salary at that point either).

Remember, plenty of aging vets ring chased with us in the Big 3 era. If players can clear waivers, they can sign where they want (with some exceptions).

That is laughable...Bogut would have helped us, even if he was only giving us 15-20 min a night.  But it kind of makes me sick how everyone is just a ring-kisser-ring-chaser these days.
