Lakers refuses to include Ingram in any package.

Sounds like his agent is trying to persuade SAC owner not to do this. What a ClusterF.

Sounds like his agent is trying really hard to get a piece of that big extension lol

Quote
"I have spoken many times recently with Vivek and Vlade about DeMarcus’ future with the Kings," Akana said. (CONT')

Quote
More Akana: "They have assured me, and DeMarcus, that the Kings won’t trade him, and are committed to signing DeMarcus long term." (CONT')

Quote
More Akana: "In fact Vlade has gone on record saying exactly the same thing. If the Kings flip-flop on what they committed, that is on them"

Quote
Akana: "Under the circumstances ... I would find it highly unlikely DeMarcus would re-sign with a team that trades for him at this point"

Lol greedy people!

Wont sign an extenstion with any team per stein.

I mean, outside of the Kings, doesn't it make financial sense for him to wait until free agency rather than sign an extension anyways? That's just him trying to make as much money with as much long term security as possible.

No.  It makes more sense to sign a 3-year extension with and extra option year this summer.  He'd get paid more next season ($12.5 million).  And he'd get paid more the following year because the 8 percent raise he'd get on $30.6 million far outstrips the very modest increase in the max salary for 7-9 year players.  Then he can decline the option year and hit free agency with 10 years experience and get the increased max.  He'd probably get about $15 million more in salary over three years and then hit free agency in time for the increased max, and his current team having full Bird rights.

Seriously, if we whiff on Butler and don't even attempt to get in on the Cousins trade because one of Danny and/or Brad didn't want to potentially deal with him, I think they need to go. Players and talent wins in this league - not coaches and GMs.

Cousins is a legit top-5 talent in this league, and he's an absolute nightmare matchup for 90% of the league. I don't care if he's a bit of a handful at times - it happens. Smart pushed a freaking fan in college, yet Brad and Danny were still all about him and drafted him. You simply can't let these types of opportunities pass you up in this league. This is the exact moment he's been waiting for since 2013.

Nice one, Danny. Sitting on your hands again because Cousins has a temper.

I cannot understand this. The Pelicans have nothing.

Buddy Hield and what? And Hield isn't even a blue chip prospect. Christ.

Crazy.  Hield, maybe pick 15, and a future pick?  I guess they also get to keep their own pick this year too, so some sort of added benefit.

But as I've said many times, Sacramento has no clue what they're doing, and their decisions have to be a stochastic variable for the rest of the NBA.
