Even if Sanders took months to get back to speed, something I actually doubt, he'd be here for the playoffs and next year along with the next Brooklyn pick.

I don't see how this is a debate.

If he wants in, you sign him.

I agree there's no need to act like it's a guaranteed happening, just in case, but it seems to be rock solid for speculation.

I think he's going to be our new center.

He's 28. He proved himself in 2012-13. This seems perfect. Danny better get this done.

Cut Young. Problem solved. There's no need for any trades to add Sanders to the roster.

that leaves his salary on the books. better if the celtics could simply trade him for highly protected 2nd round pick.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yeah, One of those top 55 protected 2nd rounders lol. That's about what he's worth.

You guys are correct, but if the choice is between waiving a guy and adding Sanders or no Sanders because Danny can't find a team to trade with, I say cut Young and sign him. Maybe Cleveland owes us a favor for LeBron. I don't feel too attached to Rozier just yet. I don't care how it's done. I want Sanders, period.

I don't know his exact history, but it looks like he was very good in 2012-13 with big time block numbers and rebounds and he wasn't too terrible at free throws.

He didn't play many games the following two seasons and then quit.

Unless we want to be patient and wait for Zizac, who never averaged 2.8 blocks, 9.5 rebounds and 9.8 points in 71 NBA games. Sanders' free throw shooting that year was bearable at 61.8% compared to his other years. The per 36 minutes were so good in 2012: 12.9 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.7 blocks.

Philly probably wants Marcus Smart or Jae for Noel. I don't see that trade happening.

The reason I think Sanders is signing with Boston is that this workout story turned out to be true and I'm not seeing anything about him trying out for other teams.

This feels different than the Durant situation. It feels like Sanders has picked us and Danny would be crazy to not seal the deal asap before other teams start poking around.

If we're the ones who are hesitant and slow to act, I think that it's a mistake given the favorable risk/reward. However, Sanders may want to explore the market.

This kinda assumes there is a market for Sanders. There is a really good possibility he isnt in playing shape and because of how things ended in Milwaukee and his mental makeup, that most teams dont want to have anything to do with him

We let an out of shape Sully play and start off and on for 4 years, so I doubt the being in shape will be as big as a factor for Ainge as it is on the blog.

Despite the new pic floating around of Larry Sanders in a BOS practice jersey, no indications he had a second workout with Celtics recently.

Probably a whole lot of nothing because it sounds like he just played a game recently in his Celtics practice jersey which he -I would assume- got from his first workout.

But if you enjoy reading too deeply into things like I do Larry Sanders was snapchatted wearing his Celtics practice jersey meaning that either...
A. That's the jersey he grabbed out of his laundry pile.
B. It seems that he may still have the Celtics high on his mind.

Signing imminent? Almost assuredly not.

Invite to Camp next year with legitimate shot of making the roster? Think that's a real possibility.
