Whose the coach in CHI, again?

I seem to keep forgetting this...just like I keep forgetting whose the coach in New York......

I knew the answer to both questions. It's just sad to me that neither of them seem to be able to control / coach their teams.

This mess getting out in CHI is partly the Coach's fault - just like the train wreck in NY where Melo will seemingly (and undeservedly) take blame there as well.

I wish Rondo wouldn't have contributed to the chaos with this post, but of course it has substance to it.

The mess in NY is clearly on Phil, not the coach.  He's trying to bait Melo into accepting a trade elsewhere, should he be able to negotiate one.  So glad we have steady management.

You are right, and I was wrong in my assessment about NY.

I still believe that the jury is out on Hornacek's coaching but Phil is clearly manipulating things there.

He'll probably be the last sailor left on that sinking ship in NY - riding the coattails of his "Draft Night Workmanship" in getting Porzingis.

You are also right about BOS - I love the job our management team has done and I believe Danny's (and Coach Stevens) patience will pay off here real soon.

I think Wade and Butler thought that they could motivate the team by going to the media. Jae Crowder and Gerald Wallace have done similar things in the past. I think Wade and Butler went too far, but ultimately both those guys are big time competitors who really wanted to win. I think people are being a bit too critical of them.

Also, since when did calling out your teammates become so sacriligeous. Jimmy Butler plays his ass off all day long. If teammates arent giving effort than hes got a right to say something. This is a guy who has worked for everything. From his childhood to marquett to being the 30th pick in the draft to becoming a superstar. Jimmy Butler works. You think Jimmy Butler doesnt know how to work hard? You think he doesnt know what hard work looks like? He clashes with guys that dont work hard.

Wade has had more playoff success than the entire Boston Celtics franchise in the last 30 years. Watch what you are saying calling him a loser.

Butler and Wade made a mistake. I think that Butler should have said we instead of you. It was not the move of a leader to say that. However, Rondo should have shut up, or said what he posted in the locker room or more importantly to Jimmy Butler. If Rondo was a leader he would have pulled Jimmy aside and talked to him about what he learned from guys like Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. Instead he made the situation way worse by posting this. Difference between the two is that Jimmy Butler is basically single-handedly winning you games right now. Rajon Rondo is contributing 0 on the court and now hes become a negative off of it.

You got me feeling sorry for Rondo.   I suspect you are more right than you think .   He is having a hard time coping with his own demise , his physical aging,  being away from the franchise where he was put on a pedestal and hero as a young man.
