IT is a phenomenon.  If "superstar" is a number 1 guy on a championship team, I don't think that's Isaiah.  But he may be the best offensive player under 6' in the history of the NBA.

I can agree to this.

Smart just became my favorite player when he said meet me out back to Beal's b1tch ass. If there's one thing that I can never fault Smart for it's his tenacity. Loved how he was abusing Beal on the block and then locking up on the other side. Beal just became one of my least favorite players tonight. Coward 4ss

Crowder and Wall got into a post game fight.  We'll see if anything happens from the league.

I just assumed it was Smart and Beal.  Thanks for the correction.  Hopefully, much ado about nothing.

An actual fight? Was it televised?

Yeah, the Wizards broadcast showed it.  Crowder and Wall were jawing.  Crowder put his hand near Wall's face, Wall pushed him away with two hands.  It got feisty with coaches and players from both sides, and it looked like Wall threw a punch at Jae.

Wall better watch out, Mayweather might jump in there.

Locking him up to the tune of 35?

Edit:  I thought Smart was mostly fantastic tonight.  However, Beal is a special offensive talent.

Probably because Wall jawed after he got that offensive rebound and putback with 1:30 left even though his team was down 9.

Huge win in these circumstances.  I think we can officially say this is a good team and we probably need to stop whining because they may not ultimately be a great team yet.

Mike

I know I've been complaining a lot about the team recently, but it's not because of how good we are. I expected them to be the 2 seed, which I think they would be if it wasn't for all of the injuries we've had this year, but they've largely met my expectations for their record so far.

I just can't comprehend how our entire culture and game changed over one summer. Apparently we're getting just as good, if not better, results during the season, but this type of "outscore your opponent" basketball won't win us anything in the postseason.

We have to find our defensive identity and intensity again if we plan on making any kind of noise in the playoffs. I still say that we've not met our goals for this season if we make it anywhere less than the ECF.
good points jp. i enjoyed watching the "defensive celtics" team a lot more and think that is a better way to play. relying so much upon outscoring others doesnt play well in the playoffs. plus, if IT has an off night, then adios.

i dont know why they have changed. but one positive is that their defense can improve, last year showed it.

Interesting, thanks for the report.  Hope the league doesn't come down with a suspension.

And this is why we'll draft elite wings with elite defensive potentials over elite scoring PGs who have lower upsides. Fultz is nice but Jackson is NBA ready and won't eat any of IT, Smart and AB's minutes.

You can win without elite scoring PGs (Patty Mills, Rondo, Chalmers) but you can't win a championship without an elite defensive wing (Iggy, Kawhi, Lebron, Marion, Kobe)

Sorry when I was watching it he was playing solid D. This Washington team was playing some back alley bs with how they were talking and carrying themselves so it was easy for me to not pay attention to his performance
