You can't blame Danny for not having a crystal ball. Hind sight is still 20-20. (Although why he chose Kelly, I have no idea.)

And yes, put me in the trade Kelly as soon as possible column. If this team had a few athletic bigs able to defend, rebound, and control the paint, then having the luxury of having a 7' player, who thinks he's still a point guard would be fine. But we don't.

Scored the last 11, games on ESPN.

Imagine if we had this guy instead of KO? I feel entitled to make this thread since I was the first to hype him on CB when danny scouted him in Greece.... :P

Not so fast rondohondo, you waited until Danny scouted him in Greece? I made this this thread before America even knew how to spell his name!

My ideal scenario would involve Pierce and Garnett retiring at the end of the season, drafting Adetokunbo in 2013, find our way to the 2014 lottery and be in a position to draft someone like a Julius Randle or Dakari Johnson. Fill out the roster with some free agent signings and have a seasoned Adetokunbo join up to throw out a young roster lead by the evil genius himself, Rondo.

Wow.  I just got a little woozy thinking about how much better off we'd be with Antetokounmpo and Randle instead of Smart and Olynyk.

I'm convinced someone talked Danny out of Giannis the morning of the draft.

For some people, hindsight is 20/20. For others, it's Teddy-Williams-hitting-.406 level.

It could be worse, people. Look at Minnesota during this four-year stretch:

2007: Corey Brewer over Joakim Noah
2008: OJ Mayo over Westbrook
2009: Rubio over Steph Curry
2010: Wes Johnson over Boogie

These were all close calls, as those next guys were taken 1-2 picks after the Minny pick.

To Minnesota's credit, they traded Mayo for Love on draft night.  Westbrook would have been better, but coming away with Love from that draft was a fine outcome.

To their greater discredit, they had consective picks in 2009.  Their first pick was Rubio, as you mentioned, but the next pick was also theirs, and they selected Jonny Flynn.  Steph was picked immediately after Flynn.

Jeez, I can't believe I forgot that. TP.
