I don't get the obsession with Hayward.

Seriously, he's a good player. But he's not putting us over the Cavs. Jae gives us the better chance, actually.

I disagree ... We would stand a better chance with Hayward

In a 7 game series, Hayward might (not will, might) win us won more game. So now we lose 4-2 to the Cavs in the ECF vs 4-1. Why is incremental improvement the goal at this point?

I don't want to sign another guy for big money that doesn't bring us significantly closer to the promised land.

In theory, wouldn't Hayward's salary come close to Anthony Davis/Boogie's projected salary?

Yet people still want to sign IT4 to the max. He and Gordon have won the exact same number of playoff series.

If he thinks that's bad, he should have heard them boo Jaylen on draft night.  :-[

I think Hayward is not much of an upgrade if at all, given how much better Crowder's shooting is getting.  Hayward can score in the midrange more but he is not the same level of defender.  I would rather just keep Crowder myself.

I'm starting to come around on paying IT. He has taken his game to a new level this year. IT is much more valuable to the Celtics than Hayward would be.

Did you watch the game last night? IT was the best player on the court, by a decent margin.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Glen ordeway was on weei this morning saying that Crowder is p---ed because he is hearing his name in trade rumors from his agent.

That would make more sense than just being angry because fans cheered for Hayward in warm ups.

And with him adding Orlando Magic on twitter, maybe a Vucevic trade in the works?

It4 has to help propel this team past the 1st round... A max deal shouldnt be granted otherwise

Idk man. If you've watched IT this year, you can clearly see this guy is now a top 25 if not a top 20 player in this league. I mean, we're talking 27.5 PPG, 6.5 APG on crazy efficiency. He's unbelievable.

Only 3 or 4 players in the league are good enough players to lead you towards a chip on their own. If a 30 year old Al Horford is an unquestionable max player, so is a 28 or 29 year old IT that's doing what IT is doing right now.

1. That doesn't seem particularly "irate" to me.
2. Why the heck would anyone cheer for Hayward?! Miss Jeff Green much?

That would be disappointing. Crowder is a key part of how our team wins.

But I think there's not much to this in the long run, other than I hope Crowder keeps playing mad.  He was All-Star quality last night.

I can understand him being upset, because the guy plays his tail off, and is having a good season. He's part of a group of players we have that are the heart and soul of this team.

I like Hayward, he has more refined skills than Crowder, such as passing, ball handling, and he can create his own shots, all areas where Crowder could use improvement. But on the whole, including defense, Hayward wouldn't be much of a step up.

I'd rather get another big that can control the paint, and rebound.

Why do you compare him to Jeff Green? Hayward consistently is the offensive creator for the Jazz, Green wasn't consistent doing anything his whole career. Hayward is the type of guy who can get you a bucket in the playoffs when the other team double Isaiah.

This is interesting, I'd rather not trade Crowder unless we are getting a star back. Vuc for Crowder takes us out of the running for max space this summer so I doubt we would do that.

I'd trade them Crowder for Gordon but there is 0 chance they do that.

The C's can't trade Crowder without getting a 3 back, otherwise they are punting on the season. We are already thin at the wing, trading Crowder would make the problem much worse.

Count me in on the big. I think Jaylen is our future 3. I see Crowder being our 6th man. Energy guy. I think Nikola Jokic would be the right fit for this team.
If Coach Stevens thinks Heyward gets us out of the East I am all for signing him. But I don't see it. Paul George, D Jordan and Boogie are to me the ones the move the needle.
The Thing I love about our players they all work on improving their games. Crowder puts in the work and wants to be better.  My future Problem is when we get a top 4 pick. We have to take a PG being that will be the Best Player Available and with have to tell IT to go to the bench.

Crowder has every right to be upset. It shows he cares and believes in himself they mark of true Celtic.

Lesson learned: when mad or upset put social media away!.

I also wonder if Jae gets called to principal Danny's office
