I was at the game last night and was surprised when I heard the cheers for Hayward in the intros. It was the first time I have ever heard anything but unanimous boos. The majority of people were not cheering but it still wasn't good. The guy sitting next to me was a Celtics fan and wouldn't stop gushing over Hayward all night.

I share Jae's frustration even if I would rather he didn't put it on twitter. We need to appreciate what we have more. Hayward is a decent player but not better than what we have. On a night where Isaiah and Jae were the two best players on the floor, I really don't want to be hearing about how great a player on the losing team who disappeared for multiple quarters is.
I told the driver Lenny swing me by the garden I gotta talk to Pat
Showed him some stacks
Then showed him the gat like ‘you’re gonna miss the finger roll right?’

I can understand him being upset, because the guy plays his tail off, and is having a good season. He's part of a group of players we have that are the heart and soul of this team.

I like Hayward, he has more refined skills than Crowder, such as passing, ball handling, and he can create his own shots, all areas where Crowder could use improvement. But on the whole, including defense, Hayward wouldn't be much of a step up.

I'd rather get another big that can control the paint, and rebound.

The big thing is the cost aspect of it. Hayward at the max for 4 years or Crowder at 6M$ a year for 3 years. That's a HUGE difference. Im not so sure you wanna make that signing without Crowder going out in a trade for another star-level guy. Thomas/Hayward/Horford isn't much more of a contender than Thomas/Crowder Is against the Cavs.

I too would like a big who can rebound, defend and score. But I'd be willing to get rid of Crowder for a guy like Paul George at the max. Thomas/George/Crowder is a couple good role players away from contention, and we might have them in Bradley, Smart, Jaylen, etc.

And I don't believe for a second Crowder would ever be involved in talks for Vucavic outside of the Magic saying "How about straight up for Crowder?" And then Danny saying curse words.

1. That doesn't seem particularly "irate" to me.
2. Why the heck would anyone cheer for Hayward?! Miss Jeff Green much?
Why do you compare him to Jeff Green? Hayward consistently is the offensive creator for the Jazz, Green wasn't consistent doing anything his whole career. Hayward is the type of guy who can get you a bucket in the playoffs when the other team double Isaiah.

Glen ordeway was on weei this morning saying that Crowder is p---ed because he is hearing his name in trade rumors from his agent.

That would make more sense than just being angry because fans cheered for Hayward in warm ups.

And with him adding Orlando Magic on twitter, maybe a Vucevic trade in the works?

This is interesting, I'd rather not trade Crowder unless we are getting a star back. Vuc for Crowder takes us out of the running for max space this summer so I doubt we would do that.

I'd trade them Crowder for Gordon but there is 0 chance they do that.

The C's can't trade Crowder without getting a 3 back, otherwise they are punting on the season. We are already thin at the wing, trading Crowder would make the problem much worse.

I believe Vucevic is on a reasonable contract through 2019.  I believe with his contract we could still sign a max player.   He's not the talent Cousins is, but he'd improve the team a lot more than people think.  He was a double double machine just a year ago, and he defends better than KO, and Amir.

JAE CROWDER on Twitter: "@GlennDOrdway < NOT AT ALL JUST STATING SIGNS OF DISRESPECT. U KAN KALL IT WHATEVER U LIKE"

This tweet to me has racial undertones. He spells kan kall it with k's. A lot of people have been doing this on Facebook since Trump was elected , referring to the kkk.

Either Jae is not literate or he is saying its racism because c's fans want a white guy to replace him.

I understand his frustration, but this is just dumb.

Well, if Ainge is really considering trading Crowder without getting a 3 back then it means they are convinced Brown is ready.

Wow. Flipping out about the crowd cheering for Hayward and now implying celtics fans and media are racist for wanting a third star who 99% of the league would chose over him must reflect a larger underlying issue of insecurity or frustration with his current contract imo. I mean, he's signed through 2020, he's the easiest guy to trade, and the farthest away from a large pay date, it must be killing him.

I wouldn't be so sure about racial undertones. Crowder has never been one for proper spelling or grammar on the Twitter.

I'm pretty sure he just looks at it like he deserves to be the starting 3 on this team, and fans cheering for the other teams 3 ignores all the hard work he's put in. I don't blame him for being mad and I don't blame the fans for cheering.

As I'm sure Isaiah will tell him, Boston fans just want titles man. And they want anyone who can help them do it.

If Jae wasnt on a 5 year contract I bet he says nothing

In the off season appare tly he was upset Durant didnt join, but doesnt want a nice talent like Hayward to join?

IF he finds out Danny is planning to sign Hayward in the off season things will turn out ugly. Unless his plan is to try to deter from danny signing/trading for Hayward

Exactly. Getting Hayward also doesn't mean Crowder is gone or no longer a key part of the team. He'd be huge off the bench.

Brad Stevens says Crowder wished he hadn't expressed himself like he did. Says Crowder is "all in" on Boston.

Brad Stevens on @985TheSportsHub said he talked to Crowder this morning. Stevens called it "emotional reaction" and said they move forward.

I ran through the last year or so of his twitter and he has never used the words "kan" or "kall" before. He has spelled "can" with a "C" 6 times.

Could easily be racial implications. Cant be sure.

I was at the game last night and I sure didnt notice any chearing for Gordon Hayward. Now, thats not to say it wasnt there, but it wasnt substantial.

I think Jae is making something out of nothing. I love Crowder and think he is driven by "haters" and is constantly looking for motivation. he needs to feel slighted. It is frustrating that he chose his own fans in this situation.
