My hot take:

Danny Ainge talking to the Magic about Vucevic, and mentioning Jae as part of the trade, reached Crowder, maybe even from Ainge himself. This is his way of voicing his displeasure without going public about it.

Talks for Vucevic happened and it got really close. Heck, it could be ongoing.

So Crowder for Vucevic, do you do it?

Bring back Jeff Green?

No I do not do it. Rozier, Zeller and non Nets picks then we are talking.

I don't think Orlando has any single asset that's worth as much as Jae Crowder. I wouldn't trade him for Gordon + Payton, never mind Vucevic.

Jae Crowder is a passionate and vocal leader on this team. He should like some user stated above, hire a personal assistant to properly assist him in managing his social media.

How did you guys think he looked like against Gordon Hayward? If you had to choose Hayward or Crowder, right now, straight up, do you say yes?

I would keep Crowder. He's an impact we can't afford to miss on this team.

Yeah, I'm not that big on Hayward either. I'd take Crowder over him with his better stroke and better D, though Gordon would help as a secondary scorer for us, and when you consider the contract status, I think Crowder is much more valuable than Hayward.

Still, I hate this stuff. You can't be saying stuff like that on a team as good as we are.
Are you being serious?? :o

Crowder is shooting over 41% from three this year compared to Hayward's 36%.

Great stats, Tommy Point.

Also if this actually happened I would be mad, too. It's hard to be under so much pressure and be expected to never spazz out on social media; athletes are expected to keep a clean cut image in order to be deemed desirable for advertising products, and this might cause an athlete or other celebrity to lose their inner voice. I'm sure you guys all remember Richard Sherman's take on this subject, if you shut up and sell a product, then when do you ever get to speak out on subjects that you want to talk about, that are important to you. Just my 2ยข...

Usage rate plays a role in this. Do you think Crowder would shoot the same as Hayward if he were used like Hayward as an intricate part of the offense? I don't think so.

Hayward is a better shooting than Crowder. If Hayward were playing Crowders role he'd be upwards of 45%

jae needs to get on the boards more and play tough D like was his calling card.  He's shooting really well and doing what is asked of him.  Could do more.

He's never going to be a slasher or scorer like brown or hayward for that matter.  Hayward is just a superior offensive player imo. Brown will  be too.

jae is still good as far as a tough guy solid vet if he plays to his strengths.  Team player.  I hope we gets back into that Posey we are one superstar mode.

Celtics fans were also cheering for KD35 to come to Boston too, so what's all this fuss about again

I like the fire, but it comes across a little thin skinned.

Where's Herm Edwards when you need him. "Don't press send!"

I agree with him.

Worst thing I ever heard was an mvp chant for Kobe at the Garden, but at least Kobe was quirky of that level of praise.  Hayward isn't worthy of that kind of stuff.  Especially when we're playing well.
That was because there was a ton of Lakers fans at the Garden. Completely different than Celtics fans cheering an opponent who is not a former Celtic.

I have no problem though with the cheering. I also have no problem with Crowder's response.

Crowder is great.  I think he steps  up and the crowd gets behind him.

Fans are disrespectful what else is new.

what is new is that it plays into the racist legacy of Boston. There is a reason other than the weather why free agents do not like going to Boston. In fact, that is one of the reasons Doc lived on that he made it easier for Boston to attract free agents.

It is absolute crass for the home team to cheer for an opposing player, that has no Boston affiliation. That is not how you attract free agents. Hayward should probably think wow, is this how they will treat him when they see a new toy.

Bad day for the home crowd at the Garden.

Oh cmon man, playing the race card? That is ludicrous....

Fans want a top 20 player to join their to, and just because he happens to be white this is a race issue?

What if they just want to add talent to the team, while keeping crowder as a 6th man? Hayward could easily slide over to SG and play next to crowder for big chunks of games.

This has nothing to do with race.

Oh by the way, in case you forgot, we lured Horford here just this past off-season.....

And Crowder went to the Hamptons to recruit KD. Its one thing to cheer for and recruit a first ballot Hall of Famer, but when you cheer for a player that your own team leader feels he is on par with, you have a real problem, Boston.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger why don't you talk to Bill Russell let him fill you in on some of that history. I am telling you this is the big elephant in the room.

OK....

Some stuff that happened 40 yrs ago from a handful of morons means that whoever wants to add Hayward is somehow racist in 2017?

This is nonsense. Not saying racism doesn't exist, but just because fans wants to improve their team by adding a really good player, that just happens to be white, doesn't mean they are racist.

So players can switch teams because of "business," but fans can't want an upgrade because it might put the team closer to a title?
