In his most surprising move as GM in a career filled with them, Belichick will trade Garoppolo to the Celtics for Isaiah Thomas, at which point he will become the best slot receiver in the NFL and a standout kickoff return man.

Garoppolo will ride the bench for the Cs, but also play a pivotal role as the modern-day Gino, revving up the crowd at the end of wins with his sweet 70s era dance moves.

IT scored career high 52 tonite. Took half the total shots, scored almost half the points. Only Horford was also in double figures. They beat a bad team, Miami, at home by just 3 points. Outrebounded again. IT had zero assists.

The media is all over "star" IT on the tweets. A great individual performance by IT. But I'm not sure what it means for the Celtics.

A win?

Thank you.  This is the only point I'm trying to make around here.  IT is a wonderful players.  Fun to watch.  But the Celtics are more than just him.  And if moving him or adjusting the lineup means the team becomes better, then good grief do it.  Someone else will come along to wow us.

LOL were you watching the game?

Paul is my favorite b ball player of all time, but I don't think he ever had a night like this, and people are not happy with it.

Have some respect for our best player.

Thankfully our crowd respects the little guy.

Do you realize you can say that about any player, even LeBron James. 'if moving him or adjusting the lineup means the team becomes better, then good grief do it.' Can be said of ANY player.

No.  that would mean you put IT on the same level as lebron, Westbrook, Durant, curry, etc.  if you believe that you really don't have a clue.

And he had 31 with 9 assists last night. Not sure what your point is.

I would be all aboard with adjusting your lineup if he was being replaced with a player that is superior to him. Smart is not better than IT and I'm not sure he will ever be so I see no need in moving him to the bench.
Also on a sidenote your boy Smart started and did atrocious so yet again another opportunity for him to prove he should be in the starting lineup and doesn't show out. He hasn't played well enough to justify starting Smart over IT and so therefore he will stay on the bench.

If we move him it better be for a good package, but a move including IT would be pointless for this win-now built Celtics. IT has shown that without him in the lineup we struggle mightily winning so I don't know why we would trade him either.

Just go back to the Laker blog you came from

No doubt about it, he's one heck of a scorer.

For the true value of Thomas to be evaluated, he needs to be paired with another player, or even two, that are on or near his offensive level. I'd like to see how he coexists...or not. We don't know do we.

I'm just not use to seeing 52 points and 0 assists from a point guard.

Great scoring performance though.

Or you have no sensible interjection that could possible explain the continual hate you have for IT and the points I made ;)
