No offense but this board loses a lot of credibility when they criticize people who say these same things. Speaking of which i've had marcus on my fantasy squad since he was a rookie. Never thought he sucked.Never thought brad sucked either. Even he questioned the toughness of this team. People do that here people whine about it.
Big difference being correct in your criticisms too. Most people can't back that up.

It seems to me that Fantasy is where he kinda sucks. He is the original intangibles guy who can literally win you a heapa games with a 5/4/4 night.
his fantasy rating isn't very good. He puts up numbers though. I just draft around him in ways and get him late because no one takes him and I target him for the stuff he does well. His bad percentages dont really hurt because he doesnt shoot that much.
He's one of the few guards that will get you plus assists, steals, 3's etc and his numbers improve each year. he's also a pretty good rebounder for a guard. fantasy has to be taken for what it is though. I dont draft my team solely on numbers though. i win a lot too because i know who's good and going to improve and who isn't. I am not a stat stuffer sort of person. i just like good players.
I thought that "stat stuffing" is precisely what fantasy is about! High usage guys get you points no?
Smart is definitely still improving though, you got that right no doubt. Some people were saying last year that he has hit his ceiling. I think we can safely say that is incorrect.
Still though if you are smart and look at stats later in drafts marcus is a better guard then players who put up points maybe. He is plus rebounds, assists, steals, 3's over anyone being drafted late in fantasy if anyone really looked at it.
He's a young player who is improving and you are going to get those numbers and he could break out. His scoring is just one stat. It's the same for real basketball really. Scorers are overrated and take away from other players on the floor sometimes too.
His percentages kill his rating. If he ever shoots good though he's a top 50 player. He's close to top 120 or so in fantasy this year even with his percentages. He's still worth owning. 10 teams 15 players each. He still makes the cut.
He's somewhat underrated because it's really just points and percentages that kill his value. That's 3 categories that he doesnt really shoot that much to make a huge difference anyways. He's a good defensive role guy in fantasy just like real life.
If you have other guys that can score and shoot good percentages he is helpful.
He doesn't shoot good percentages but he does make 3's as well. There are few guards with his kind of defensive stats that make 3's and most of them are stars.
