The people that were booing were mostly Boston sports fans looking for something to latch on to

You play against a better team and you feel like their best player betrayed you. I don`t find anything wrong trying to get in his head. Unless you are in the stands just to enjoy the game and not see your team winning.

they weren't throwing coins or rocks at him .. he got some booing. so what???

I'm not against boo'ing and am fine with wanting the team to win but he was an unrestricted free agent with no ties to the area. Just don't think this is worth boo'ing about. Do you think he considered Boston and gave us a real shot? I do. What more can you expect?

He saw a chance at being one of the greatest teams of all time in the highest quality of life area of the country. Free agents from around the league saw the kind of draw Boston had and it was enough to bring in Horford. Parading Brady in the Hamptons was a pitch to every up coming free agent along with Durant. All party's benefited, don't see any need for sour grapes.

I don't think Boston fans were sour graping on the fact he choose GS over us. I think it's the fact that he chose GS, of all choices.

Exactly! They booed him just as any other NBA fan would boo him, just as every fan booed LeBron when he made The Decision. I know it wasn't the same level of booing, but in both cases it didn't consider just Celtics' and Cavs' fans, but every NBA fan.

I think KD did us solid by putting up on a place that people visit.  That was not happening before.   I can understand the boos.

As for Green, he should take a look up in the rafters and not confuse expectations for desperation but then again he is used to seeing only 2 banners.

Fans didn't boo because Durant didn't sign with the Cs so much as they did because he copped out and signed with the Warriors. Which is why he's getting boos all over the place from fans (and former players) around the NBA. Draymond knows this, but he's a gripy lil *****, so he's gotta make his petty point over and over again in interviews.

It's a bit of both but it's mostly this.^^^

Draymond Green is one of the biggest Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.bags in the NBA. Kicking nuts, whining over every call. Anything to give him the 'us vs them' rhetoric to excuse his behavior.

Your points are precise about the fans and Green.

TP.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Nothing Draymond Green says carries any weight to me.

The guy is an over-glorified role player and if he played for ANY team other than the Warriors or Cavs (i.e. the teams smothered with media attention lately) then nobody would know his name.

He's got Anthony Mason's talent with with Demarcus Cousinss personality - no one pays attention to what's coming out of his mouth.   Officials sure as hell don't.

IDIOTS like Draymond Green should be called to the floor by the NBA. It is these fans that make you millions of dollars for playing a kids game.

Fans boo opposing team? That is as old as sport's itself. This guy is an idiot.

I can't stand them. I wonder how long until they get the Miami heat treatment.

oh yeah Draymond Green??

Danny should trade for him...then we will see what he says lol

In all honesty Green is a really good player with a big heart but is talking alot of nonsense these days

I wish KG played yesterday, he would have probably made D. Green cry

Yup, we should have cheered (cough, cough, Kobe). ::)

Seriously, my favorite part was when he said that players aren't going to want to interview with us because they would be afraid that we would boo them if they didn't come to Boston. Sorry, Draymond, not everyone is so emotionally soft.

Frankly, what I would do is take a videotape of Tom Brady being introduced. Take every free agent who walks through the door to center court and show them the videos. Say, "If you come to Boston, and you succeed, here's what will happen (Show Tom Brady.). But if you end up on another team, it doesn't matter who you are. We'll wish you well and then boo your ass every time the ball comes within 15 feet of you. That's the kind of team we are. Look up, and you'll see what the result is."

That's when you'll know who really wants it.

For the right players that's a positive.  Points to the passion of the fan base.  However C's fans do need to keep in mind that Durant can opt out of his contract after this season.  That said I'm not sure I want him.

Boo away.

His comment just reflects the fact that we have a large, bad-ass fan base.  That said, if we had him, it's possible we'd make the ECF.

His comment reflects his poor attitude. Being a cheap shot player he would have an opinion on this. When they asked KD about it pre game he was very professional and courteous to the Celtics regardless of whether he actually thought about signing here.

Classless. KD coming in GS just gives him more reason to run his mouth.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Draymond Green should worry about LeBron James AND Golden State and leave us fans alone.
