No reason to get to excited . Mickey looked like a superstar too in Dleague.

for real! this place is freaking crazy, "let's trade everyone because some guy is scoring in the freaking D-league".

mickey is undersized where nade is 6-6 with 7-1 reach and 40inch vertical-i would say shooting a three in nba a more transferable skill, than rebounding and blocking shots
i have watched both red claw games because highlite reels leave one thinking the guy is an all star-nader has a ways to go but sees court and passes well on drives to hoop, decent handles

There is a strong likelihood that Nader has reached the pinnacle of his success in the D-League.
Not only did Jackson match his numbers you can see such luminaries as Henry Sims and Phil Pressey on the D-League leaderboard.

He reminds me of Paul George withsmooth moves..  He can hit off he dribble,  anywhere on court he gets a nice shot off .  He looks very confident in that you tube clip.

Nice all around game and good handle for his size.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Interesting, I assumed Yab would be taking Jerebko's spot next year, but I guess it's entirely possible Nader fills that role. We should fully expect Zeller, Amir and JJ to be gone because of the cap. Green will likely be gone and Young maybe playing himself into a desirable asset for another team. When we sign Hayward (or whoever) and somehow make space KO's qualifying offer, we should have a few roster spots available with only one first next year.

Great to see Nader playing well. I know that it's easy to denigrate the competition there, but he's performing at a very high level (along with Jackson!) and that's all he can really do. I would be much more concerned if he were sucking it up.

nader length is really elite at 7-1 wingspan and its is showing up in his defense 3 steals a game-
he seems like he could be a real efficient type of player that plays better with better players
i keep going back to that wingspan and standing reach married to a 40 inch vertical
if he can be consistent at this type of level ,that would secure him a long nba career-he's good and nothing wrong with getting very good with hard work and experience

Can somebody please remind me, do we still have his rights?  We drafted so many players I can't keep track.

I alway liked him in summer league, in fact he looked better than almost all of the youngsters. He has good size for his position, he's long, he shoots the 3.

I'd like to see him get a look on the C's if he starts lighting up the D league.

we have his rights-he stashed himself with red claws  at less money than going overseas
a smart move he wants to be a celtic,
he is in a system designed for celtics young ones with a good coach,  run and gun
shooting as many threes as they can-

He's not on our roster, so you'd have to cut or trade someone else for him to play.

Or a 2 for 1 trade could open up a spot. Green isn't seeing much time of late, he seems to be in the dog house.

more than half those baskets he wouldn't score in the NBA.

From the video, I counted 9 made shots. 4 were wide open. There's a good chance he makes all 4 open shots in the NBA. So that leaves 5 baskets left where he was guarded. I guess what I'm saying is, do you believe he would miss all 5 of those baskets in the NBA? I'm not disagreeing with you, just curious if that's what you meant.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Watch D league games in their ENTIRETY and NOT just highlights -to get a better read of competition because it's a huge drop from NBA competition.

I'd rather him being excelling at that level because if he wasn't he would be a total bust.
