Boogie aint coming here. Said that before will probably have to say it again once they fall out of playoff contention.

Why do you say that so confidently?

Because it's the Kings?

Huge loss for the Kings in their playoff chances. They simply can't lose games to teams like the Heat, especially at home and without them having several of their key players, including their star in Whiteside.

They also start a ridiculously tough home stand now:

vs Clippers
vs Golden State
vs Detroit
vs Cleveland
vs OKC
vs Indy

And that's followed by a ridiculously tough road trip:

@ Memphis B2B
@ Chicago B2B
@ Detroit
@ Cleveland
@ Indy B2B
@ Charlotte B2B
@ Philadelphia B2B
@ Houston B2B

And that's sandwiched by another tough home stand before the All-Star break:

vs Suns B2B
vs Golden State B2B
vs Bulls
vs Celtics
vs Hawks
vs Pelicans
@ Lakers B2B
@ Golden State B2B

That's a pretty rough schedule to the ASB. I think they're all downhill from here and several games out of the playoff picture by the second home stand. Welcome to Boston, Boogie!  ;D

How the hell do they get so many home stands and long road trips? lol

They can, and should.

Sac need to trade and tank hard, get one of those point guards, and start a new era. Can't believe they are waiting for the deadline, unless they are thinking that his value (and competition between potential trade partners) will spike around the deadline.

Bizarrely, they are sitting playoffs 8th seed, but are only 4 games away from the #3 pick in the lottery.

All in all, a really nice position to be in for them, for once.

Aaaaand the Kings are trying to trade for Milsap...

I really want to like them (the early-2000s Adelman Kings were my favorite team to watch), but their organization is just so dysfunctional.

Milsap's price can't be too high, but I can see the Kings being stupid enough to offer a future 1st unprotected for him, which would be a sure-fire lottery pick.

First one they can trade is in 2021 because they owe the Bulls a conditional pick this year and the Sixers an unprotected pick in 2019, let alone the swap ability that the Sixers have with them next year.

They don't have the assets to get him, and Milsap won't agree to resign there anyways.

You should go on Sactown Royalty and see all of the fans banging their heads against the wall with this possibility lol Besides, their playoff chances will pretty much be gone before the All-Star break anyways. Many of their fans don't expect them to win anymore than two to three games the rest of the month with how difficult their schedule is.

Wow, yeah, then they really have nothing to trade for him. They botched all the draft picks that they actually used too, Mclemore and Pappagianis have zero value.

Silly comment. Papagiannis is an intriguing 7 footer at 19 picked at 13 for a reason

would highly doubt this outcome.  With how intent that org seems on being to retain him no matter what I'm expecting them to trade for Dragic way more than I am expecting them to trade away Boogie.  Especially during a season.  And I don't want to hear about leverage.  The Sac front office probably only knows the word as a show on TNT, much less how to use it.

Un.be. liev. able.

I really want to like them too, but they just keep doing stupid thing after stupid thing after stupid thing after... I'll stop. They stupid.

If I'm a sac fan, and I hear we're getting probably the #1 pick this draft, plus "our own" pick plus Jaylen, and maybe Terry or Crowder or Marcus thrown in, I'm genuinely excited. I'd probably go get season tickets for next year, just to watch something develop. This lineup probably gets you 35 games anyway

Lonzo Ball
Ben McLemore
Jaylen Brown
Jonathon Isaac
WCS

bench:

Marcus
Afflalo
Trade piece at the 3 for Rudy
Tolliver
Papa

So stupid.

Lol Kings getting booed at home. They were up by like 15 early on the Clippers, but they're going into halftime down 12. Outscored 34-12 in the 2nd quarter.

Start of the downfall!

if they keep cousins what are they thinking will be different next year?

I think they could entice season ticket holders with a top 3 pick in this year's draft plus jaylen brown who has shown great progress in a half season.

I don't think anyone can beat that offer unless sac and the bulls swapped butler for cousins.

On top of that, by trading him, their own 2017 pick will likely change from a mid 2nd rounder to a top 5 pick.  They would have two early 2017 picks and Jaylen Brown plus whatever else the Celtics are willing to offer up.
