Nice article by Tom Ziller highlighting a decade of incompetence by the Kings organization.  I'm not sure if Cousins would be a fit on the Celtics from a personality standpoint, but the Kings have not resembled a professionally run team as long as Cousins has been in the NBA.  He's a very talented player, and his career has been wasted so far by his team.  Completely wasted.

Cousins is struggling tonight.

13 points, 5 rebounds in 25 minutes.

Jazz beating the Kings 79-75 with 7 minutes left in the 4th.

I'm just curious. Is there even the slightest amount of evidence that he wants to leave Sacramento, that he'd consider Boston, or that Sacramento would deal him?

How is this different than praying every day for Anthony Davis? Because Sacramento is just a teeny bit stupider?

Cousins has not publicly demanded to be traded, but he's definitely publicly criticized the organization multiple times, and pretty much everyone in Sacramento wants to be traded.  It's safe to assume he would not be heartbroken to leave.

There is less evidence that Sacramento would deal him.  Coaches and GM's who've tried to do so have been overruled by ownership and are no longer with the organization.

I'm fairly sure that many locations, Boston included, would be favorable to him, because it's not Sacramento.  He and IT seem to get along, and IT has indicated he'd love to play with Boogie again, so I think if traded to Boston he would stay here, unless it was a total disaster.

Davis is signed for four more years after this and Cousins' contract is done after next year.  I haven't read that Cousins has said he wants to leave, but why would he want to stay?  We saw his behavior yesterday after the team fined and talked to him.  He was angry.

Sacramento should want to trade him.  Most of their roster is old and awful.  They need to rebuild.  Trading Cousins would kick start that and him leaving after next season would be devastating to them.

there's no real evidence

But it's WAYYYYY more likely that cousins would get traded than Davis IMO

Attitude issues, age, contract length. It just makes more sense. Not to say that he WILL be traded

But i could see sac holding onto him and possibly letting him go for nothing. They should learn from durant. The TWolves got wiggins for love, imagine what okc could have got for durant.

Boogie shot poorly tonight, but scored 5 points in the final minute to lead the Kings over the Jazz.

None whatsoever.  SAC is considerably stupider than NO, but there's no evidence to suggest Cousins wants to be traded, and the FO continues to state they have no interest in trading him.  It's also likely he has a "major mental health issue" -- which I'm cool with, but would probably cause Danny to drink caffeine and give Brad shingles.

Cousins is putting up career numbers (38% three point shooting) and if the season ended today, the Kings would be in the playoffs for the first time in 11 years.  Are we sure he's going to become available?

Nope, nobody knows how the Kings think.  I have no idea why they see making the playoffs with a losing record with a roster that's going nowhere is an accomplishment, either.  The Kings aren't good, but they may benefit from there being so many bad teams in the west.

For them, being in the playoffs IS the accomplishment.

And if they are sniffing a playoff spot...I am sure they are not trading him.

Really? you really think Sacramento is going to make the playoffs this year? haha, not a chance.
Dallas will surpass them without  a doubt now Williams and Dirk are back.
Portland will eventually get their s*** together and surpass them as well. Too much talent.
If Sacramento couldn't make it last year with a descent team, why they should do it now with a worst one.

With Holliday and Evans back now, NOP is the team I'd think most likely to get the 8th seed.  With their horrible defense, the Blazers implosion was predictable.  I wouldn't want to be a Blazers fan,  They're in bad shape and don't have much room to improve with no cap space for the next 3 seasons.

NOP is possible but I am not sure how much Evans has left after the series of debestatimg injuries he has had. All the teams at that level are really flawed. The Lakers were actually in play before the latest round of injuries wiped them out in the front court completely. They are now missing nance and randle for a long period of time right after they got Russell back from a long absence. They may now tank to try and keep their pick although I doubt Walton is on board with that
