Draymond Green is a thug. And the entire Warriors team is just as pathetic as the 2011 Heat team.
Maybe an outgoing loudmouth jerk.  Not a thug.

I think it's fair to call him a thug on the court.

Durant made some comments today which didn't please Westbrook too much.

KD:
"I feel really grateful to play for a team like that and play with a bunch of players who are selfless and enjoy the game in its purest form," Durant said. "They make it about the players, they make it about the environment, so it was really an easy choice."

Maybe there was more friction in OKC than we thought? Or is he just trying to cover his tracks? Or is Westbrook being too thin-skinned here?

What's even better is that he is actually trying to have his cake (wow, this new group is so great and they play unselfishly, and the feeling is so good), and eat it too (I don't want my comments to reflect on the Thunder).

The Westbrook/Durant war will be one of the most intruiging storylines for years.

The OKC 30 for 30 in 10 years or so should be really good.

I do have to say though as talented as Durant and Westbrook is the iso heavy offense in OKC hasn't been the easiest on the eyes over the years.  It wouldn't surprise me if they butted heads at different points.

Key spots in SO many finals clutch moments and brooks runs weak side ISO like its 1972. Seriously, how did you keep your job for so long. Presti has to take responsibility for this debacle, ultimately.

The #1 rule of getting older: Things were better before.  Pierce's generation used to be the soft, me-first bunch who cared more about endorsements and stats than winning.  Now they get to pass the torch to the next batch. Someday an aging Draymond Green will be in front of a mic griping about how young players don't play hard or appreciate winning.  So it goes.

This.  Nice piece of perspective here.

Yeah, that's pretty spot-on.

I know that Draymond is trying to defend a teammate, but he could atleast be a little bit more respectful about it by doing so. No need to thrash Paul in the process. PP has achieved A LOT more than Draymond has at this point, hence he probably shouldn't be so cocky.

They needed a good 3 and D guy to kick it out to, like AB. I think that cost them a little bit, no excuse for Presti to not get one.

The coaching wasn't great, either. During the clutch moments it seemed like no-one, particularly Durant, had the will to take it to the rim. And the ball movement did seem to come to a standstill at the end of games. That blame falls on KD, Westbrook, and the coaches.

That team was very talented but not as slick as they should have been.

He actually was far more respectful than Pierce was.

Pierce is 100% right.  OKC was too good/competitive for Durant to leave and still have respect.  And it's not like he left for a team with nobody on it so he could be "the man" like Shaq and LA, it's actually the exact opposite.

Draymond's argument about how nobody reacts when big executives change jobs/companies is completely laughable.  Really?  Especially companies who are in competition with each other (ala the NBA)?  People get angry even in small industries/businesses.

Also, I think it's pretty clear Pierce is throwing just as much shade towards Ray here as he is toward Durant:

Quote
I could have left Boston years ago but I stuck it out. And I just feel like when you're that close as a competitor, you don't go join a team that just pushed you out (of the playoffs).
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
