love Roze but he has shown me all preseason that he can't run the offense, should play him off the ball or let him get his.

Yeah those 7 assists tonight really prove that.

IT4 gets a lot of assists too but every time you hear CBS and the guys talk they want IT off the ball much more. You can get a lot of assists if you hold the ball long enough. They will get assists because they are so good at creating for themselves defenses have to adjust and sometimes overly so.

I'm not getting your point...

Isaiah Thomas is the best playmaker on this team.  By a mile.  Nobody else comes remotely close.

The reason for wanting Thomas off the ball more is so that he isn't constantly smothered by defenders and can have an easier time getting his shot off.

Rozier has averaged more assists AND less turnovers Per 36 then Smart has during the preseason - despite Smart having something like 10x the NBA experience, majority being at the  PG spot.

Honestly I don't know what is going on with this board recently. They complain about not having a superstar all the time. What do you think a superstar is going to do when they get here? Just move the ball around and stand in the corner? Are they stupid? I mean it's pretty obvious this is how the NBA works. You need people who can create their own shots or make tough buckets. Obviously that is what is key in the 4th quarter anyway. Ball should def be moving, and honestly it has with IT even when he has the balls in his hands.

Smart isn't even turning the ball over that much, Rozier has 4 Turnovers over 5 games, Smart has 6. TWO turnovers the difference.

I'll point out that Smart is averaging 2 steals per game (dont know where to get per 36 stats, even though I doubt Rozier has even played close to 36 minutes of NBA game at one time in his life), and Smart is plus minus +29, whilst Rozier is -11 over these games.

I like Rozier a lot, but I think Smart has been far and away better in almost every aspect of the preseason from watching the games.

You have good points, but my eyes tell me Rozier is better. And I think plus and minus is overrated

I think Rozier has the potential to be a great combo guard. Good looking 3pt shot, lightning quick, long arms, and can stop on a dime. He could be a great downhill player by attacking the rim off a pick, this is where I thought his bread and butter would be coming out of the draft. I'm very excited to see him get some real opportunities and minutes this season!
