  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Looks like Mickey is on the way out to me.
Considering we have two bigs who are currently stashed, Mickey may be on his way out.
Mickey is Gone. Maybe we Trade him and Hunter for pick.

Speaking of Young, I can't be the only one who thinks of Donald Glover every time I see him, can I?

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I don't see how Jackson makes the team with the guard depth we have, need a poll on this.  ;)

to me, young looks like he is finally getting the nba game. looks much more confident out there and less like a fish out of water.

he is still very young as well. some guys it just takes longer to get the nba game.

It's a good thing no one can change their vote. I picked RJ Hunter as the guy to keep. He looks very good today. Young has improved, but he still can't provide an all-around game. Yet, I am definitely still worried about RJ's shooting. He's going to have to alter his method so he isn't hoisting them up from the hips. Smart got rid of a hitch or two. Hunter must also.

Jordan Mickey also looked very good.

James Young is gone unless somehow Green or Jackson gets cut. I don't think Gerald will be cut just because he's a bit rusty. I am not sure why they would sign Jackson to play in the D League only to cut him. Young has to bring a lot more to the table and soon for those guys to be considered on the chopping block as Scal put it. It does still seem to boil down to Hunter vs. Young.

Most people have picked James Young as who gets to stay. I think they voted for him off of the first exhibition game. I agree with Rollie who said that's it from game two, that Young is gone because he can't defend. Rollie said Coach Massimino would have cemented Young's butt to the bench with that kind of effort.

Jackson is the kid I like the best, off his performance today against Charlotte. He pretty much took control once he got into the game. Handled and shot the ball well, even the 3. Hunter passes well, but his 3P shot isn't automatic--the way it has to be for him to stick. Young shows more athleticism, but his shot isn't there either.

Ainge has a nice dilemma with Jackson and Rozier. I'm waiting for a trade to go down for Noel involving one of these PGs. Maybe even Smart. Jackson's play could change the dynamic, and make one of the other two more expendable.

It wouldn't shock me if both RJ and Young get cut.

Nader is better than either in a serious manly game.  D league is just throwing up shots .

Dump both .....bring in Nader.

I'd prefer to keep Hunter over Young. Hunter has the attitude/desire to get better. I don't think Young has the moxy to be a good NBA player. The way he gives up on plays, doesn't follow on fast breaks. He's just got a naturally lazy motor.

His defense has improved, but he's not a scorer and not a defender. He can only go left, and when he does, he finishes at an abysmal rate.

I just think RJ is far more versatile as a potential NBA player. His athleticism is lacking, but he's smart enough and plays hard enough to make up for it.

I agree, to me there is no competition between Young and Hunter. Young just doesn't have it. He's a stiff.
I'm in shock at how many people think Young is staying. Prepare to be disappointed.

The poll result is shocking. I thought it would be flipped around or at least solidly in Hunter's favor. That was the original consensus.

Hunter's shot is a disturbing factor. Yet, today showed how much more potential he has than James Young.

I don't know what is up with Bentil. Maybe it is three guys including him on the ledge. Maybe both Young and Hunter go. I'd have to google Bentil to give an opinion.

I saw all I needed with Jackson and Mickey removed a lot of my doubts. No way will Jordan Mickey get cut.

The only way we will be wrong is if Young turns it up a notch offensively and RJ looks pitiful for a jump shooter. I doubt it. I think the minority opinion will win this poll. Perhaps even the Bentil fans, but I don't know what the contract issues are.

Holland and Colton Iverson would have tried out. They didn't even get a chance.

Our roster is stacked and there are guys stashed with Brooklyn hopefully hitting rock bottom for two more years.

I will say Young is definitely done with it down to RJ versus Bentil. The C's won't admit it to Young however and will just play out the couple weeks. It's a little cringe-worthy. Everyone knows one of those guys is gone. No one's attached to Bentil probably, but Young and Hunter have been here a while. I feel bad for James Young, but he needs maybe five years in journey leagues and then maybe try again as an old man like Gerald did it.

I just realized I missed the fourth option of they both get cut. Sorry about that. That would be shocking. Mickey and Jackson showed what they had to show. I don't know this Bentil guy. Why would Danny keep him over one of the other two? I guess ultimately none of this matters. We are talking about the 15th guy. It must be about who don't they want to risk cutting who will embarrass them for the decision.

James Young is better than Fab Melo but worse than Phil Pressey. End of story.

I agree with you bobshot.  I went to the game today and watched all the young guys play.  I thought they all played well.  Green has a very nice veteran offensive game that he showed today, this puts the pressure on to cut one of the young guys (Hunter or Young).  Jackson showed excellent pg skills and is quick and strong....I would hope a trade of two or three for one good big  would solve our problem with numbers.  It will be a tough decision.

A lot of the voting came just after the first game where Young shot 3-3.  Now RJ goes and has a good game, and I bet a re-vote would now look different.

Also the whole situation got a little trickier too with both Green and Jackson having good games.
