Had a good look at the last game, and I've changed my mind again. Boy do I love a guy who can play basketball! I'm for keeping Hunter and taking a chance that his body can survive.
Maybe more to the point, there's a void (Brad's word) left by the departure of ET - Boston needs a shot-creator or two to keep things churning when IT is out. Hunter can be a low-turnover version of Turner.
Hunter needs to make the team first, but he will likely become trade bait or leave like Sully did. He would need injuries. Maybe he will stay long-term and take over for Gerald Green past his prime.
Horford is a bridge, but sometimes you can steal a title in those years.
Turner Role
I'm not worried after watching Marcus Smart play solid point guard. Rozier made a leap while no one was looking. It looks real. It was like when Bradley came back after training with Doc during the off-season. I'll give Doc credit for Bradley.
Olynyk needs to take a leap with his assist to turnover ratio. Isaiah is Hall of Fame on offense. We only need to fill in 15 minutes. Rozier and Smart have it taken care of. I wouldn't be scared either if one of them is injured and Demetrius Jackson moves up the food chain.
I think losing Turner will be addition by subtraction. Guys like him are Jordan Crawford and Marcus Thornton. They win and lose games. Although I admit Turner shut me up with his second half play. Sullinger was dramatic. He won me over, but that only lasted a month.
I'm not going near the Marcus Smart is fat thread. They make him out to be John Bagley or Shaq coming back after a year off. That's outrageous. Some guys are big boned like Yabusele. Some guys like Big Baby get eating disorders. I am interested in what Sully currently weighs. I am getting hungry.
