James was nowhere near as athletic or explosive. He was a shoot first gunner who was more like Marcus Thornton (the older one) than he is Rozier.

Rozier reminds me of Mookie Blaylock. Not a true PG or the best shooter, but still manages to score, rebound extremely well for his position, and be active in the passing lanes. He's not the defender Blaylock was (at least not yet), but he has better length, size, and athleticism.

Actual comparison? He reminds me a lot of Schroeder, but I think he has Bledsoe-level upside.

I like the Mookie comp for his upside. Definitely see Mookie's game in Terry during stretches.

rozier can aspire to be one of these guys - sure

why don't we let him play a full season - maybe 15-20mpg - before getting too excited

Reminds me of Schroeder as well. Not physically big enough nor strong enough to be like Bledsoe.

- Stuck between guard positions
- Not a great playmaker
- Solid defense
- Good spot up shooter
- Overall useful role player for 5-6 seasons

Seems like a reasonable comp to me.  Rozier will probably rebound better.

Not a huge fan of player comps, but I can tell you that Rozier has John Wall Level athelticisim for a PG. And some are under-estimating his ability to take the ball up as the primary ball-handler. That's all he did at Louisville

The guy we saw in Summer League would've showed up towards the end of the season of we were Philly or Minny or whoever. he just got drafted to a team that is ready to compete for the EC. Rozier is going to be a pretty good player in this league, and he has the potential to be really good. I'm excited to see him this year. I have a feeling he's going to make us all forget about Evan Turner.

I could be wrong but I believe he was only the primary ballhandler for half a year after their pg got suspended.

Edit:
In his last year, Rozier was the primary ballhandler for 10 games after Jones was suspended 26 games into the season. The year before Russ Smith was the primary ballhandler.
