I honestly doubt that there are too many people here who are convinced that the C's will get Griffin (or Cousins / Westbrook).  I think you are seeing the adrenaline flow of the off-season.  It's just fun. 

Big trade probably won't happen but there's no harm in getting excited about the possibility. I'm pretty sure we'll all be able to handle it if it all turns out to be nothing other than Horford.

Exactly, I get semi excited if I buy a Powerball ticket with a jackpot over 500M and I know I am almost certainly not winning that.

But, it is fun to speculate about something you are passionate about like our team.  I wont be losing any sleep over this if this rumor becomes dormant once again and he Griffin ends up somewhere else or nowhere at all(as long as it is not the Nets, I can live with it).

Now, I did lose a slight amount of sleep when we lost out on Durant but that was a lot different as he actually met with us and we had a better chance than winning the Powerball drawing.

Yeah, this is pro sports, it's pure entertainment and none of it really matters unless it's your livelihood.  You don't get bonus points when you die for dismissive cynicism, all you get to do is have a lot less fun in the meantime.

Not really saying anything that hasn't been said.  I think we can get Griffin at a reasonable price there is nothing to be patient about. That's what the celtics should do vs putting hopes on something else. 

We can go into free agency next year though so I agree there is no reason to rush anything.  Giving up Bradley, Amir and the 18 nets pick is reasonable  imo. 

Gettng Blake to sign a deal and for-go free agency is kind of hard to believe though.

DUde on RealGM says he's been going to Summer League games and has been "hearing whispers"... and now people are quoting him like he's an NBA insider.   Lame.

My Kimchi guy tells me we're more likely to see a trade for Rudy Gay than we are for any of the big names being thrown around right now.   He makes pretty decent Kimchi, so I believe him.
