Man, I would break all kinds of sh!t in my apartment if we trade for either guys.  The excitement would go through the f'ing roof. 

As much as I try not to put any stock in these rumors, some part of you deep down always refuse to quiet down that annoying voice in your head of wanting it to happen.  You keep telling yourself it's nothing, just take it with grain of salt, meh...it's just rumors, don't give yourself a heartache because it's nothing but smokes, remember summer of love?, remember David West?, remember Durant?, aha...it's nothing.  Yet that flicker of hope at the bottom keeps fluttering saying "hmmm...wouldn't it be nice though," "hmmm...I wish..."  It's why you keep checking back on threads like this lol.  It comes with the territory.  It's hard being a sports fan sometimes.  We are a sad bunch lol.

I haven't really chimed in on this thread but have been following it a bit. I really have to say it's stuff like this that makes me despise the twitter age... Joeschmo claiming he's an insider gets people so riled up.

Trolls like Deadmik5 feed on peoples desperations... There's no proven insider info there.

But I'm actually an insider. So anyway my cousin's friend's brother's mother's acquaintance (my source) happens to be the janitor working in the facilities who just happened to listen in on an executive meeting on call with DA in Vegas who says he's going to San Diego to tell Westbrook he should sign with the Celtics, Westbrook will be so enamored that he'll force OKC's hand by having him demand a trade to the Celtics who will only have to give up James Young and tickets to Hamilton...multiple sources claiming balcony seats.

I sat in the balcony for Hamilton.  You really can see the whole stage from up there, and there's a ton going on.  The sound in the theatre is well-designed, so it sounds like you're front row.  I'd trade Westbrook for those seats in a minute!  Although I guess Leslie Odom Jr. and Daveed Diggs are gone, so maybe not.

Ainge is a Mormon and San Diego is a very big place for Mormons as they own quite nice real estate there. Could be just a coincident, or he is meeting Thomas there to discuss the next move and how Thomas can help.

Word is, the dead whale over heard Ainge talking with Isaiah while taking pics of it on the rocks and said to the seagull that both Westbrook and Blake were the targets for a 3 team mega trade that involves Brooklyn's 017 swap, 018 unprotected, rookie Demetrius Jackson, Crowder and Terry Rozier. The Seagull also said the dead whale also heard Ainge say that the deal would have to include both players not opting out of their current contracts and sign extentions like KG did in 08. But coming from a birds mouth, things can get a Lil twisted because I'm not sure if whales actually speak the same language, n then again, the whale was dead so.....

At this point, I feel like it's not only unlikely we trade for a star before the season, but unlikely we make any trade where we give up anything more than back end of the roster guys plus picks.

It's been fun but Stonewall  Sieve has until I go to bed tonight for a deal to happen otherwise I'm unfollowing.

I think the odds are in favor of us starting the season like this

If Ainge is in LA to talk to Griffin and /or Westbrook, it means the talks are in an advanced stage where Ainge has permission from LAC or OKC to talk to either of these players. Obviously, any deals depend on the willingness of either or both to sign with the Celtics. A possible strategy is to use one to persuade the other.
