My biggest worry is that Danny and Brad like So.Cal so much, they decide to quit and join the Lakers.

Ainge is in Calif---just posted a pic on his twitter---it's what Smitty had said.

What did Smitty say prior to posting of the pic?

He had heard from 2 sources that Danny/Brad/Zarren were going from Vegas to Calif, before returning to Boston--but he couldn't confirm for sure.

Or, you know, his daughter and some grandchildren live there.

Edit:  There being San Diego.  A son lives up the coast in Orange County too.

Danny Ainge's latest Twitter post confirms that he's in San Diego, and Isaiah Thomas is also there on a family road trip. Ainge's post says "A whale of a life" with a picture of a beached whale.

I'm curious to see how ppl really feel about Griffin anyway. Throw out the rumors. Just from a player standpoint.
Depends on what the state of his knee is.

Lol. Lots of input there. Thanks.  ;)

Between chilling in the stands at SL and walking the beaches of OC, he seems hard at work on that mystical Griffin trade that will be announce yesterday.

What more do you need? He missed a lot of last season with a tendon tear. There were reports that this hasn't fully healed. Just from a player standpoint, if this is an issue, you have to have concerns about a player whose game is predicated on superior athleticism.

I don't know what these other SB Nation blogs look like, but we must be one of the most neurotic fanbases out there. 42 pages?! That's commitment.

LOL. On RealGM they're on their third thread. Each of the previous 2 went to 100 pages each haha! Although, their previous threads were derailed due to discussion about topics like pizza and wine. So, less basketball discussion than here.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Sure. I agree. I think we agree that if he isn't able to recover from the injury it's a no brainer to not invest big time assets in him.

I guess is he worth all the uproar or are we in the dog days of summer and just hungry for any news we can get? I mean I remember when jermaine oneal and Rasheed Wallace were signings heavily celebrated on this blog. Griffin is an upgrade no doubt but my ultimate question is does he move us up in the pecking order that much?

Last year we were 48-34 tied for 3rd in the east. We essentially have traded al Horford for sully and Jaylen brown for Turner. I think that puts us ahead of Toronto who basically brings back the same team and was pretty overrated IMO after watching them against Indy and Miami.

Does adding Griffin make us better than Cleveland or are we just a better version of the second best team in the east? Is it worth moving a future top five pick that we could control from a contact standpoint for up to 9 years with a rookie deal and RFA? Not to mention doc will want more. Is Blake the guy to move that for? Curious for some opinions

Soon we'll create our own dynasty, but not from girls like KD and Curry who do it artificially through Free Agency...but through the draft.

Smart is Gary Payton
AB
Jaylen Brown is Kawhi
Harry Giles is Chris Webber
Deyonta Davis is David Robinson

Wow :o. The amount of blatant sexism on this board never ceases to amaze me, and I really wish that it would stop.

Lol. It's dangerous. We're all crazy. Kinda take pride in it, though.

You don't understand. Smitty had inside info about Ainge being in California. The point of that is not so much that Ainge is in California, it's that Smitty had inside info which was confirmed, i.e., Smitty is not a troll. His sources might still be wrong about other things, but he does actually have sources, is the point. Ainge might just be there to visit family, true. But no one knew that before Ainge posted the dead whale pic, only Smitty.
