Has Jaylen signed his rookie contract yet?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

No.  Once he does he will take up $800k more cap room, so that's the most likely reason for a wait.

Regardless of if this happens or not, we are loaded with players and picks.  Isaiah, Horford, Bradley, Crowder, KO, Marcus, Brown, Rozier.    That's 8 very legit players right there and not even mentioning Jerebko and his younger cousin Nader.  Yabusele, Mickey etc..  We have 2 high draft picks coming plus several others.

We get a star or 2 in here while keeping the young guys that's the way to go, but I'm pretty excited watching the growth of some of these guys.

If you ever wondered how John Edward talked to dead people, he did it the same way some of these guys get a lot of their "sources".

This dead mike guy is gonna get crucified on Twitter soon. It'll be a sight to see

I'm in the same boat. I don't think they should be foolhardy and "force" a trade. They have a good thing going on here right now with a solid core and now 2 all star type players. Trading a large chunk of that core for me doesn't make much sense since your depth had been such a big part of your turnaround that past 2 years. They have cap space in the offseason and can sign on of those superstar players AND keep their depth AND likely lottery picks.

They should only do a trade if it makes sense.

We still have Amir too.  Forgot him but quality player by nba standards.  Good borderline starter on a nice contract.  We are 8 deep even without Brown this year although I expect him to do something.  Same with Yab and Jerebko.  These are quality nba talents who can all contribute this year.

Come on. He can't lose. He's already hedged his bets that "not all deals come through".

Eavesdropping on their audience in advance?

Don't even need to do that. The average meathead that congregates on this guy's Twitter feed is either (1) sixteen or so, (2) not the sharpest tool in the drawer, or (3) both.

Gotta hand it to him, though, he's pretty good at playing the room.

I think it's really interesting actually. The way I see it is that there's nothing else going on in regards to the Cs, so if nothing comes of it, it'll at least be entertaining. If the trade does happen it'll give a little light to the reporting process and which reporters are either being lied to or are beholden to their sources.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

FWIW, from Bulpett today:

http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/celtics/2016/07/bulpett_celtics_working_the_nba_room_but_no_deals_pending

Quote
In terms of other players in which the Celts are rumored to have interest, there have still been no recent talks regarding Blake Griffin or Russell Westbrook.

The Clippers are in a win-now mode, so they would need to get immediate help to consider moving Griffin. And there are also issues with the 6-foot-10 forward for the Celts and other clubs. For one, Griffin has the ability to opt out of his contract next summer, so, as was the case in the 2007 acquisition of Garnett, there would need to be assurances that he would not exercise that option and would be willing to consider signing an extension. He will make $20,140,839 this year and $21,373,952 the following season.

But, according to one opposing team exec, there is another question with Griffin.

“I still think there’s a concern with his leg,” he said, referring to a partially torn left quad tendon that cost Griffin serious time last season and never fully healed before causing him to miss the end of the playoffs. He reportedly received a bone marrow injection following the season, which is keeping him off the U.S. Olympic team.

“We looked into him, and we’re hearing that’s a pretty serious thing,” the source continued. “I’m not saying you don’t go after him, but you’d better be really sure about that leg before you go making any big commitments.”

I expect another 1+1 team option deal. Preserves 2017 cap space.

I don't see a logical deal outside of a Sixer big where we wouldn't take a major risk and that deal would be a long shot too.
