Dwyane Wade agrees to deal with the Chicago Bulls

Rondo's career 3P% is higher than Wade's.  Maybe it won't be so bad if Rondo can replicate the 36.% percent he shot last season and Butler can approach his 38.1% career high.

Rondo's was on extremely limited attempts, though. Like, he didn't even average one made per game.

Just looking at Wade's percentages have me shocked, though. He's only shot 30% or better four times in his career, peaking at 31.7% in 2009, and he's shot below 20% twice in his career. That is terrible, which is obviously not good for three penetrating players.

Combining those three with a non-shooter in Lopez, and you might have the absolute least amount of spacing ever.

I really think this only makes sense if you plan to start McDermott, Mirotic, or Valentine at the three. I think Butler is expendable to this team. Crowder for Butler makes a lot more sense for them now. Crowder is more of a spotup shooter/off-ball attacker than Butler.

Or hell, go smaller and move Wade to the three full-time and trade them Bradley, who is already familiar with Rondo's game and has proven effective with him before.

Anyone's effective with Rondo, imo.  The guy made Tyler Zeller look like a starting center, lol .

I keep worrying that they are going to be good, but then I realize that they were supposed to be good last year.

They basically replaced Rose with Wade, Noah with Rondo, and Pau with Lopez. They certainly have the name recognition, but I don't see why they should suddenly be awesome.

I think the worst part will be watching Jimmy Butler be frustrated and thinking how good he would look in green, but recognizing that the Bulls are not going to take a reasonable offer for him even with their team languishing in mediocrity and a lack of chemistry.

You guys realize there is more than one way to win than just shoot threes all day... wade never had an issue getting to the rim and the free throw line even with everyone.knowing he's not a great shooter... this bulls squad is exactly.the kind of team to give golden state fits.. gritty.. tough and some players who can defend on perimeter (if rondo is locked.in admittedly)...

Okay, you add three other non-shooters out there alongside Wade in Rondo, Butler, and Lopez, and that's a bit of a different situation. lol

They're going to have to play Mirotic at the starting 4 spot now.

I think they will be ok.. I didn't see rondo total shooting percentage this year but usually him and wade are in the high end of field goal percentage among guards... plus Butler d wade mid range game.will be very good...

It's just an issue of how much? We can't be a contender if we gut our team. I'm willing to part with one of Bradley, Crowder, Smart, or Brown, one of Rozier, Hunter, Yabasule, or Zizic, 2018 Brooklyn pick, and other future firsts.

You're dreaming if you think that type of package would land you Butler.  We couldn't even get Butler using the 3rd pick of the draft as part deal.  Most teams didn't have Brown that high on their draft board so the 3rd pick > Brown in the eyes of most teams.

Offensively, yes, but defensively, no.  Pau is lazy and terrible defender at this point in his career, and I'm not sure that he was really ever that great of one to begin with .

Truth is Wade is on the decline and probably has little trade value.  Brooklyn was poorly managed and made a TON of mistakes - how about D-Ron and JJ2?

Looks like MIA wanted Wade to leave but without explicitly showing him the door.  I don't blame the Heat for not showing him the money now.  I mean if you are going to give credit to Wade for taking less for the good of the team, you can't at the same time support him now for asking for payback.  He'd be overpaid at $25m/yr based on his recent performance, no question about it.
