Rondo's career 3P% is higher than Wade's.  Maybe it won't be so bad if Rondo can replicate the 36.% percent he shot last season and Butler can approach his 38.1% career high.

Wade has agreed to join the Bulls but they need to clear cap space to make it happen.  They need to get rid of Calderon and Dunleavy.  Would you absorb 1 year of an unneeded contract to pick up say a 1st round pick from the Bulls?

Three well below average shooters in your main backcourt rotation, trading away Dunleavy. Doug is virtually untouchable now.

Butler's fine, imo, and Rondo did shoot .365 from 3 this past season, but your point still stands.  I don't think Bulls fans ever expected to see 'Doug McDermott' in the same sentence as 'virtually untouchable' ;D. This offseason is nuts.

In the end, I guess Miami didn't want Wade enough, weren't creative enough, or Wade didn't care to stay enough?

How I know? Well... if we assume they couldn't dump McRob (expensive to do so), they could've easily stretched his contract. By doing that they were put in a position to either match the Bulls' offer or even go above it.

Why that scenario didn't play out, the mystery we'll never know.

Rondo's was on extremely limited attempts, though. Like, he didn't even average one made per game.

Just looking at Wade's percentages have me shocked, though. He's only shot 30% or better four times in his career, peaking at 31.7% in 2009, and he's shot below 20% twice in his career. That is terrible, which is obviously not good for three penetrating players.

Combining those three with a non-shooter in Lopez, and you might have the absolute least amount of spacing ever.
