Devin Booker is way too good to be in summer league. He's obviously on a totally different level than the rest of these guys, at least offensively.

I realize that I'm probably the only one on here watching the Raptors-Kings game, lol, but you guys would have really liked Pascal Siakam, already.  Sigh.

I checked out that game as a result of this post and you're totally right.  His game is immediately transferable to the NBA.  Big miss by the Celtics.

Simmons is turning it on in the 14 qtr, too -- 8 straight points, 18 overall.

Beat LA -- How did our favorite Mr. Dunn do today? 2 points (1-10), 1 asst, 2 rebs?  >:(

Is there another Mr Dunn in SL?

Kris Dunn had 21 points on 9/17 shooting with 9 boards and 4 assists. Might have had better numbers if his thumb wasn't taped up.

8 personal fouls though...

Watching the Lakers/NO game, Ingram looks good, but he also looks like a Biafran refugee, kinda wishing we'd grabbed Zubac, and Hield is having a horrendous debut. 3-15, 1-6 from 3.

I read one pre-draft report that had Zubac as a better prospect then Zizic. The writer compared how the team (in one game) did better with Zizic on the bench and Zubac taking his place.

Even NBADraft.net had Zubac ahead of him in their mock draft. My gut feeling (from watching highlights) is Zizic is a bit wooden/mechanical in his style of play. Hopefully, when he comes over we'll find out that he was the better choice.

If Danny would have known that Heild would be shooting 3-15 he would have grabbed him.  ;D

Comparing the two it seemed like Zubac had a bunch of skills that might be transferable to the NBA and Zizic had one skill that was definitely transferable (hopefully).  Danny has a tendency to pick guys because they have one characteristic that stands out ie speed, defense, rebounding, shooting and shy away from guys who might be more well rounded but lack a clearly defined nba skill.

Then again, they may have picked Zizic over Zubac solely because Zizic said he wouldn't mind being stashed for a year and Zubac was adament about playing in the NBA this year.  I have no idea if this is the actual case, but it seems like a strong possibility.

Ingram finished the game 0-5 today. I'm ready to discount him as an NBA player and label him a bust. Buss should be fired for this. They should have went with Dunn.

Ingram is doomed to be a role player because of this game.

If Yibada reported that Kris Dunn urinates excellence and/or walks on water, I would believe it without hesitation. My biggest regret in life may be being a male simply because I have no chance of ever carrying his child.

Yup. Not exactly hard to tell. Simmons has the assists and Browns got the horrendous fg%. My point is more that the top 3 picks have all been at least kinda Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ty and none have been efficient at all. Not one even particularly close to 40% fg

It really is shocking how bad guys like Ingram, Brown, Murray, and even Hield, are struggling.  Has this even happened, before, lol?  The only reason that I didn't put Simmons in with those guys is because he was never a shooter to the point of refusing to take jumpers in college, at times, lol.  Even Thon Maker struggled, today.  They put him at the 4 and he fouled out lma0 with 10 points, 6 rebounds, a steal, and a block, iirc.  It's pretty funny that he's shooting much better than Ingram and Bender, who didn't even look like he was on the court, yesterday, lol ;D.

Hield and Murray looked alright today. Both scored 20+  I think. I was a hardcore Murray supporter before the draft, so I hope he does well. However, he had been struggling in the games before today, so that doesn't speak too well about my scouting prowess lol. But I'll try to stick to my word about Murray.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Thanks for that. This justifies my feelings about the other two so far. Outside of that first game, Ingram hasn't looked very good at all, and outside of Simmons' passing and ball-handling, which is brilliant, I haven't been all that impressed with him.

Also, Brown seems to be much more of a defender than either of the other two, as well. While he's nowhere near a Smart level defender coming out of college and has plenty of rotation/decision issues on defense, he definitely seems a better defensive player than either Ingram or Simmons right now.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
