Seems like Bulpett was the first to insist the decision would be tomorrow when others were sticking to the general 24-36 hour original timeline or expecting an announcement tonight.
Does it mean anything that a Boston guy had the more specific timing right first?
This is what I was thinking. Bulpett was the first to say it's tomorrow and it's not based off money? Then Blakely tweet out that Ainge is at the summer league, got off the plan with a grin on his face?
Honestly, "it's not about money" is best news for teams other than the Celtics, who have max cap space. The Heat don't, for instance. The Warriors can, but have to jump through a lot of hoops to get there.
That said, my source is confident it's down to Celtics and OKC. KD was ready to choose Celtics today, but is having a really tough time leaving an organization and city he genuinely likes.
Don't play games with my heart like this... and also ..

Not saying that Salt doesn't have contacts...but I'm always skeptical. I believe the Celtics are out. Not even a finalist with OKC Miami and GSW.
You're skeptical of Salt yet you list Miami as a realistic option!?
Only going of tweets tonight from reporters
You are aware that Miami doesn't have the cap room to sign Durant, right? They're over $4 million short, and that's assuming Wade walks. The only way they can create room is to dump Josh McRoberts. But that will cost a first round pick to do so, and Miami can't trade a pick until 2023. And again, Dwyane Wade will not be on the Heat in such a scenario.
Unless they find someone who will take Chris Bosh, who's owed nearly $76 million over the next three years, and might never play another minute. That's not happening either.
When Miami signed Whiteside, they took themselves out of the KD running this year, because they just can't make it work. They're hopeful to set up a chance to get him next year, if they keep Wade and Bosh has his contract wiped out due to being ruled medically ineligible. That's what today's meeting was about -- laying groundwork for a year from now.
Any reporter who suggests Miami has a snowball's chance on South Beach has zero clue what they're talking about. Zero. You should unfollow them on Twitter immediately, and mock their idiocy. KD is not going to Miami this year, and probably not ever, except when wearing another team's jersey.
