Personally I don't see how he goes to Golden State. There are not enough shots to go around. He doesn't want to shoot next to two shooters like Curry and Thompson. And going to a 73 win team is exactly what it sounds like. The media loves their short sighted narratives so much that they act like the Warriors are some underdog now that Durant could join and it's acceptable because the Cavs won. I can't imagine that players, who know how slim and luck based the difference between winning and losing can be, feel that narrative. It's silly. I just don't think it makes sense for Durant to go there on either of those angles. I think players of that caliber are too competitive to accept that role on a team that already won 73 games. I think players are willing to team up to win (and should, that's how you do it) but that is too far on a team that already established itself as one of the best teams in league history.
I think the Spurs can make sense for him. Beyond that I don't know how to feel about them because I don't know their plans but clearly they are a great organization with two big stars.
I have long been thinking OKC for 1 more year but I do think we have to be an appealing option for him now. I still say he goes back and we get a shot next year but I'd love to be wrong.
