This is a speculation more than a rumour but it makes sense to me

http://allaboutknicks.sportsblog.com/posts/21044537/nba-rumor--could-d-wade-go-to-cleveland-now-.html

If Cleveland wants to unload Love to create cap space for Wade, I would give up the 2018 Brooklyn pick for him. Horford and Love would be a versatile front court. Add Hayward next offseason while keeping Crowder as a sixth man, and we could compete for the championship if a few of our young guys develop into solid role players.

We have the cap space and everything right now to absorb Love. We NEED to get in on this deal, because we can get it done without losing any parts of our main core.

Cavs having preliminary talks with Wade.  Come on, Danny, get involved!

Heat and Wade relationship "not on good terms" and being described as "ugly" at the moment.

First ring chaser emerges:

David West to the Warriors on a one-year deal, per source, for vet minimum.
durant was the first ring chaser.  Then zaza.  Now west.

Geez, so they have now signed Pachulia and West for peanuts while far inferior players are getting humongous contracts.

So much for players signing with Spurs, LAC, CLE, etc in order to beat down GSW...

all they need to do is dump the contacts of shumpert and frye.  We could send them Amir and jerebko's unguaranteed contracts if you REALLY want that.   Maybe they will toss in a 1st.

It's because of your passion for the game and your money that all this circus can happen.
That's something to think of.
Personaly I'll cancel my league pass. Not that it will make a difference, but more like I will feel more in peace with myself to not contribute of this downfall (sportively).

Diaw to the Jazz. This has been a quietly very productive off-season for Utah.

Somebody explain how the Cavs can get Wade? Can they sign Wade first into their 21 million cap space and then sign James using Bird rights? Or do they need to clear enough for both?

I will take Love to help them get Wade. I would even throw in one of our rotation guys.

I am honestly a lot less interested in the NBA right now than I was 2 days ago. I am kind of a die hard fan so I am sure I will still watch it, and be here, but I can't remember feeling less excitement about a new season at a general level at any time in any sport.

You keep saying this, but I don't know how necessarily true it is, or how smart it is this late in the process. By dumping them, they'd have around $57M in guaranteed contracts in Love, Kyrie, TT, Mo, and Kaun. Lebron also has something like a $29M cap hold, which would put them at $86M, which isn't enough for Wade. That's not even including Smith, too. This article details it:

"There are two ways Wade can sign with the Cavs, one is easy to do and difficult to imagine, the other is difficult to do and equally tricky to fathom.

First, Wade could sign with Cleveland for the league minimum or Cleveland's mini mid-level exception, worth about $3.5 million. Is Wade so angry with Miami that he'll tarnish his reputation in Miami —€” he's inarguably the most important player in Heat history —€” and take a massive pay cut of at least $16.5 million? It's hard to see that happening, but the option is on the table.

Or, Cleveland could pay Wade more -- but not what the Heat are offering -- by moving either Kevin Love or Iman Shumpert, or by renouncing LeBron's massive $29 million cap hold.

It'd be a risky move. The Cavs cannot sacrifice a single player in this arms race with Golden State, so trading someone to make room for Wade isn't a good move. Cleveland has a title-winning base —€” it needs to add to that, not subtract.

Having LeBron take less money would also work —€” if he was renounced but re-signed with the Cavs, he would still have full Bird rights next year, entitling him to a supermax deal —€” but that would only free up roughly $9 million in cap space, from which the Cavs would have to sign both Wade and James. LeBron, who has a massive deal with Nike padding his pockets, could sign a minimum contract after being renounced and giving Wade the remainder, though that would still be less than half of what Miami was offering."

The only realistic way is to trade Love via some sign-and-trade. Everything else involves him or Lebron taking massive, massive pay cuts, which isn't happening.

Yes.   57m.   The cap is 94mil.  The cap hold is irrelevant.  LeBron and Wade would just need to decide to take a pay cut and get 18 mil per year.  If they dump the salaries of Shump, Frye, Williams, Jones and Kaun, I'm pretty sure they can both get 20 mil each.

What about getting rid of shumpert and Frye like Lbrrd33 said?
