No One (Except Philly) Wants to Trade With Danny

If the rumors are true, Philly is willing to give up Okafor or Noel for #3.

I expect to see us trade #3 for Okafor.  Only hold-up is that we'd prefer to move the pick for an established star or a solid established shooter like Middleton.  That, and we need to first see if Simmons or Ingram falls. 

Otherwise, get hyped.

I'm so happy Angie didn't bring either Okafor or Noel, both hugely flawed player, they are nothing but role players, we can get role players by draft #16, I'd rather take a punt with #3 and draft someone might be a better all round player in 2-3 years time.

It's no point to become a contender in the next 2 seasons, LBJ still has at least 3 peak years left. KD is not coming here either, he's favoured to join the warriors per some report.

I hope Angie can bring a third team to get Love here, or call OKC about Ibaka.

I don't think Butler is on the table.  I think the Bulls are just going to move Rose and build around Butler. 


As for Okafor, if the 76ers have a true target in the draft at the third pick, they will wait until that pick is gone before they move Okafor.

Kevin Garnett: 10.4 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.6 bpg
Dwight Howard: 12.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 1.6 bpg
Anthony Davis: 13.5 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 1.8 bpg
Demarcus Cousins: 14.1 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 0.8 bpg

Long story short, I am ok with waiting until draft night to see if any other elite talent suddenly becomes available.  However, I hope we don't wait too long and lose out on a big who put up promising numbers in his rookie year with no other talent around him.

You forgot the fact that he is only 20 years old and was a rookie on a terrible team.  We haven't seen what he can do with a coach like BS, and with a strong culture of team basketball.

If the Sixers want Dunn, can't understand why they want to do a deal before the draft. What happens if the Lakers draft Dunn?  Unlikely, but possible.

To get a true fix on Okafor, look at his stats the first two months, before Noel came into the picture, and took a lot of rebounds away from him. He was a 20/10 kid--but he was their only real offense at that point.

I can make an argument for Noel or Okafor. Okafor has more offense and cost control. He is also a shot blocker when he plays the 5. Can protect the rim. Very quick near the basket. Good shot at 10-12 ft. Noel is a pure D guy. No shot.  Only question with him is his strength, and it has gotten better. Would pair well with Love at the 4. Maybe also that Providence 4 who can shoot outside. Get him at 16 or 23.
