I don't understand why DA always has to be so desparate to move it. He needs to not be so blatant with some of this stuff imo. I like Danny Ainge and all and trust he can evaluate and make the right moves in the end but it's becoming predictable where other GM's have him figuerd out. We need to be more loyal to our own team and players in ways where he is hurting their value to us and around the league.
There are good players this draft. DA is basically saying if i can do better i'll do it though. For Parker or Butler or whoever. Obviously but jaylen brown is a good player. So is Bender.
he needs to anticipate better and draft better himself and get himself in position to get guys like Butler though if he really wants them. He could have drafted him himself. He could have traded to get in position to get a player like Paul George etc..
Trades don't work the way he is trying to do them I guess is what I' msaying. He's inquiring on players that may or may not be available. But it's just blatant and teams are obviously going to want more than what we want to give up. Trades suck that way.
It's because he's panicking, imo. When he traded for all of these picks he was probably banking on the fact that he could trade them for good/great players, as opposed to actually having to use them to draft his own team, but that's not what's happened, and now the heat is really on. This is the best pick we've not only had in his tenure, but in almost 20 years, and he has to nail it. No excuses. I've never been a fan of his drafting, but in the eyes of many others, the argument has always been that he's never had a good enough pick to be blamed for missing out on contributors found elsewhere in the draft

, so what happens if he whiffs on this one? Good thing he signed that contract extension, lol

. Watching him have to construct a contender through the draft has always been my worst nightmare, and unfortunately it's on the verge of coming true. Ugh.
