I'm not sure why people take talk show hosts seriously for any sort of basketball rumours. Most of them are quacks whose job is to fill air time.

You must be feeling redeemed after the new report about Bender's bad workouts came out, lol.
I'm not sure what Bender has to do with the credibility of talk show hosts, but whatever.

No it has nothing to do with credibility. Just remembered you were getting bashed on your Bender take...And now reports have come out Bender didn't perform well in his workouts overseas for NBA teams including the Celtics. The report was posted on this thread.
Well, then I appreciate your completely irrelevant reply... I guess?

Okay...It was posted on this thread. Last time I give you props dude.

So, apparently Simmons worked out for Philly this morning after saying he wouldn't work out for any teams.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2643414-76ers-2016-nba-draft-rumors-latest-buzz-speculation-surrounding-no-1-pick

I mean, is this just not further proof that they're seriously considering trading down for Dunn and other prospects? As late as last week he was simply refusing to work out for any teams, because he didn't really need to being by far the #1 rated prospect.

Apparently, he's also already gained around 20 pounds of "muscle," not really - but still 20 pounds, since the end of his LSU season.

Hard to read too much into it. I think they want Simmons and Dunn honestly.

I'm sure they do, but I just don't see a Okafor or Noel for #3 straight up deal. I think they'll end up caving on some type of 3-way with us and Chicago where they give up a little more. Danny will most likely take Dunn regardless now to force a trade with someone.

Or they just don't end up getting Dunn. The Celtics have the leverage cause the Sixers have botched this entire situation. Not surprised there. Hinkie was better at this game. I think Okafor will be traded though and they will keep Noel. They seem adamant on trading Okafor. It will be interesting to see what they get for him. I think whoever lands Okafor will end up winning the trade imo. Hope we can get him for one of our guards.

Eh, I think they have to go for Dunn at all costs right now. They just simply have to have more rotation-caliber guards and wings on their roster, because they arguably don't have any at the moment. I think Colangelo realizes this, which is why he's so desperate for Dunn. I bet he ends up overpaying a bit for him, whatever that materializes as.

I hope you're right and a deal happens with the Sixers. I would love to rip them off. But Dunn isn't the only guard available haha. They can trade Okafor for a different one.

He's clearly the best one available.

As I said several days ago, Danny's play is clear: Either trade the 3 now, or draft Dunn and open the bidding - for him, or for another of our guards. Certainly would move Smart and/or Bradley in the right deal.

The facts, rather than the hyperbole, about Bender have been obvious for quite a while.

I'm not going to draft a guy with the hopes of trading him.  I'm drafting who i think is the best guy.  If that's Dunn, so be it.

Noel probably would.

Doubtful, Noel is redundant of Thompson, and Okafor is Moskoff, who rides the bench.

Okafor is Mozgov... in the same way in which Adam Morrison is Larry Bird, I guess.

Yeah, seriously.  Some people are way over the top in their analysis of Okafor.

I don't think so.

They need a player ready to contribute now and who fits better with LeBron and Irving. Neither of them fit that.

looking at this from another angle ...does Ainge really have all the leverage with Philly? Couldn't Philly just deal with Phoenix at #4? Remember that we also have a logjam at a position-Guard, that we need to start to consolidating....couldn't they just call our bluff and dare us to take Dunn and then find a home for either Marcus Smart or Avery Bradley or Rozier?

If you think position logjam will stop Ainge from taking Dunn to put the screws to them need I remind you we picked Rozier pretty early too.

If Dunn is BPA on Ainges board and also whom teams covet I fully expect the Cs to take him.
