The workout/interview DE video is up.

My only dislike is how much he talked about improving his shot and offense when his biggest weakness was always his defense and rebounding.

He seems like much more of a Jeff Green Derrick Williams type than a Kawhi Leonard

Derrick Williams was an iso heavy player - I don't see that in Chriss, who seems to be most comfortable playing off of others.

Reminds me more of Brandan Wright + shooting range. Which is pretty appealing.

And his workout was not all that impressive.  Looked to be going half speed for a lot of it.

Chriss hasn’t even worked out with Boston yet.  They’re not using the third pick on a guy they haven’t brought in, so wait and see if he comes in for a work out before you get excited.

Since DraftExpress and the Vertical have kinda merged, I don't like their mocks. They seem like clickbait to me.

Agreed. I get the feeling they're shuffling around the rankings in the top 10 between the lottery and draft day just to generate buzz, knowing that nobody will care about what the mocks said once it is known how the top 10 worked out.

Shenanigans on the internet?!?!

Oh my land!!

With the projection that he will develop into a new-school stretch-4, Chriss has been moving upward in the eyes of NBA teams. He is firmly in the Top 10, and just might wind up landing No. 3 to the Celtics.

“He’s a little outside-the-box,” one NBA front-office executive told Sporting News. “He is a tweener, a 3-4 combo, but that is not a negative anymore. He’s Danny Ainge’s type. Out of the box.”

I'm not too happy with this tbh.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Chris shot 60 3 pointers in college TOTAL.  That's not enough of a sample size to have any clue what kind of shooter he is.  It's such a small sample size that a difference of 3 makes or misses would vault him 5 percentage points.

18/60 =.30%
21/60 =.35%
24/60 =.40%

My guess is this is exactly why his agent recommended he stay in this years draft.  His 3% looks excellent but is essentially meaningless.

One interesting thing in the article was the bit about Danuel House. Had never heard of him.

I'm getting the impression the C's are openly showing interest in any player ranked in the top 10 merely to figure out who other team's really covet & drive the trade value of #3.

I agree with this.  Chriss is good but not that good.  I don't think there is a player in this draft Ainge is completely sold on. Let's not get carried away.  I can see Chriss rising because teams covet players like that that can play multiple positions from the wing and in.  So do we.  But the object may be to get a player like Kevin  Durant here who already is that.

What if 76ers like Chriss over Murray, Bender and Heild as well as they like Ingram over Simmons? If they asked for
3, Rozier, 16, 45, and 58
For
Okafor, 24, 26.
They could then look at the possible future group of Starters being
Rozier, Valentine(16), Ingram(1), Chriss (3), Noel
Then that team fits very well.

With Chriss being a rare player who might actually WANT to play in Sacramento, could the Kings covet him even more than he should be?  Could our interest in him be to try to get them to bite on a cousins trade involving the third pick?  Could be interesting...
