I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.
It's actually well understood that Dreadlocks cause neck strain. They can negatively influence posture as well. Don't get me wrong - he's a great player even with the dreads. But I think they probably weigh closer to 10lbs. Wouldn't he be even better if he wasn't carrying all that weight on his head?

Jae however is a man beast made of muscle, there is almost no chance the locks have any negative effects on him. I'm pretty sure the locks are where he channels all his power from. Without them he would just be a regular person working at Subway.
Taller hair helps obscure opponents line of sight, ditch the dreads and go 'fro.
