So you're telling me ... If Marquis Daniels didn't have dreads he might have avoided that neck injury. Which arguably led to the Jeff Green trade. And we could have won a championship that year? Dreads should be banned in the NBA.

TP to the OP for the most original thread I've seen in some time

I don't know.  It didn't work out all that well for Sampson.

Yeah, but playing next to Hakeem covered his weakness  ;)

I wonder how many of our younger posters actually get this joke.

Our older posters must be going senile because JaKarr Sampson was barely 9 when Hakeem retired  ;)

Better yet, I wonder how many posters understand both.

I think this thread needs a Big 3 era comparison. KG played great basketball with no hair - has to be the way to go.

Haha, this is ridiculous. Steven Adams has got better since he grew his hair out and added that filthy mustache!

Ray Allen's bald head helped with the aerodynamics of his jumpshot. Reduced drag from wind resistance leading to more upward force.

Olynyk would be a defensive stud if he cut his hair bald.

I've always thought that long, flowing locks create an illusion of action that helps a flopper get more calls.

He needs it in the offseason. It's like weights and walking around with it helps keep him in shape. Agreed though that he'd be better with a tall fro. Even better if he could sculpt that fro in the shape of a hand. No more "hand down, man down" moments for Crowder!

Ageed.
I have a parallel.
It is like acting in wide angle shots. They teach you to make more dinamic motions, with limbs or your head for example, cause your facial expression isn't that visible. Those dreads sure create a lot of extra motion, exeggarating the contact.
