Here are the current prospect ratings from DraftExpress:

Skal Labissiere - 10th (nbadraft.net:  11th)

Domantas Sabonis - 18th (8th)

Josh Hart - Undrafted (57th)

Perry Ellis - 59th (56th)

If that's our haul after starting with the 3rd lottery position and the 16th, 23rd, 31st, 35th, 45th, 51st, and 58th picks, we better hope that we made some trades that also landed us a superstar.

And to follow up ESPN has this:

Skal Labissiere - #11

Domantas Sabonis - #12

Josh Hart - #30

Perry Ellis - #69

If I were Stevens, I'd resign immediately in the face of that draft.

Would rather have Skal than Bender.  Also Skal put up better stats in the NCAA than Bender did in the Israeli league.  I think we could get him at 16 though, maybe.   I would not take him this high.

Skal is 20, Bender is 18. That might not sound like much, but these are crucial developmental years for players, especially bigs.

Skal was probably the biggest disappointment in college basketball last year. Not sure how anyone can watch him play and think he will be a solid pro.

Skal is awful. If they take anyone from Kentucky it has to be Murray. Skal will be playing over seas for the majority of his career.

Watched a interview with Coach Cal last night on the Dan Patrick show. He is all about Murray, like he was all about Booker last year. If they can't get Simmons or Ingram it has to be Murray. He immediately becomes one of their best shooters.

Skal is not awful. I've seen him play multiple times. He's got a good jumper, hes long and athletic and he rebounds. He was missused at UK as his comfort zone is more like 12-16 feet from the hoop. If Skal is still there at 16, I take him every time.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

It was a disappointment bc people had going #2 or #3 at the draft.   Like another poster mentioned he was a little misused.    If he went to a different school and was the main guy, he would of done much better.

We are not talking about a guy who has all of these physical tools, but does not know how to rebound the ball, score, does not know how to play basketball (like a diallo).   During the combine, individual interviews/workouts - he is going to impress

not stating this pick is not risky. Because we need to see solid productions/consistency,  but I like the chances it does "click" and happen.  He has wide shoulders and should be able to add weight

I like Murray and Brown too. But I feel  Josh Hart is very nice alternative to Murray.  Hart is older but is a slightly better athlete,  longer wingspan, better ball handler and finisher around the basket.

Whatever the case is, none of murray, brown, bender, skal will make much impact for the Celts next season.  Maybe Murray has the best chance.  It's all a risk or so.   Skal imo has the highest upside for a big player  (rebound, block shots, Shoot the ball, explosiveness, does not shy away from contact, motor, IQ)

But that's basically where you have us drafting him, no? I mean after Simmons and Ingram, right?

I disagree on the wide shoulders part. He's very narrow.

Eddie20 this are narrow shoulders

Ibaka has wide shoulders (considered for a NBA player not football player).  Skal shoulder/frame is similar (minus the muscles)

Man, the difference between Johnson and Skal is astonishing. Thanks for the pics! You're absolutely right. Skal is a mass monster. He's going to physically engulf the opposition. You should delete the comparison pics of Skal and Ibaka because when teams see the similarities in bodytype it's going to cause Skal to rocket up all draft boards.

I say this in the nicest way possible, you might need glasses

again

Skal

Jajuan Johnson

Historically front court players with JJJ type shoulders have had trouble in the NBA.   vs  Shoulders that have an unside down V shape.   This is considered a good "frame".   If you don't believe read the scouting reports on Skal.  Each one mentions of his good frame, that should be able to add upper body strength

Triboy, you're right. What more do you want me to say? Skal is a really big guy. He's going to be a load for people to handle.

Skal's head is almost as wide as his shoulders.
