Excited but trying not to get my hopes up- we have horrible lottery luck when the stakes are high

We'll probably end up with #3 or #4 and I'm okay with that at the end of the day

Just praying we can somehow get a top 2 pick. Please basketball Jeebus.

I'm miserable because we are probably getting the #5 or #6 pick. FML.

Draft lottery is in 9 days.
Is our little leprechaun IT going to bring some good luck?

Personally I'm pumped. The odds are against us but this is probably the best chance we'll have at drafting a franchise guy inside the top 3 for the next 10 years.

I'm a very sceptical person and don't generally believe in luck but I'm keeping the positive thoughts flowing about this lottery night. I really think we're getting a top 2 pick.

How are we all feeling?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Feeling is irrelevant. The math is the math.

I'm all-in on "we are getting number four" and I'll figure out how I feel later if I'm wrong.

Figuring we get the 5th pick. If we do better I'll be happy.

Only thing more predictable would be if Celtics18 said the C's will pick 1st.

  • GOT IT!!!
I'm ready. As long as the C's are top 5 I'm good. I'd personally like to see the Lakers lose their pick.

What's wrong with preparing for the statistically most likely scenario and deciding to be OK with that outcome and be happy if things turn out better?

It's not like I said I'm assuming we'll be picking sixth.

I think the reason I'm excited is because there appear to be TWO genuine franchise-potential level talents.

If we get Simmons or Ingram I'll be so stoked-particularly Simmons.

Don't count your chickens until they hatch. I am excited about the prospect of a great pick but happy we will have at least a very good one. Will be over the moon with 1 or 2.

Honestly I'm keeping it lowkey, chill, relaxed. In 2014 I was imagining rosters with Wiggins and Jabari, and I ended up being disappointed that we dropped to 6th (but I love Marcus so it's all good).

This year I'm not really imagining. I'll just see what happens when it happens.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I still prefer Ingram. Simmons is more athletic but Ingram seems to me the better bball player.
