Excited but trying not to get my hopes up- we have horrible lottery luck when the stakes are high

We'll probably end up with #3 or #4 and I'm okay with that at the end of the day

My dream scenario would be us in TOP 2 and fakers at No.4.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I think the reason I'm excited is because there appear to be TWO genuine franchise-potential level talents.

If we get Simmons or Ingram I'll be so stoked-particularly Simmons.

I still prefer Ingram. Simmons is more athletic but Ingram seems to me the better bball player.

Yeah I love both of them, and right now Ingram is the more skilled player and can shoot. I think Simmons has the potential to be like Lebron James, where is Ingram is more like Paul Pierce.
Pretty awesome to have a shot at two guys with that kind of potential.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

It would be nice to finally get rewarded for a good trade and get a top pick.  The C's are due.

I'm not going to watch. I just want it over. I'm fully expecting the 5th or even 6th pick.

With IT there, our lucky leprechaun, we can't miss.  Top two for sure.

Feeling is irrelevant. The math is the math.

Yep, the math is the math, and the odds are the odds...the odds say we're due for some luck.

The Celtics have never moved up in the draft. Only down, and in some cases embarrassingly down. I expect more of the same. I think maybe they stayed where they were during the Joe Johnson year.

As long as we're in a position to take Murray or Hield I can get excited about adding a pure scorer with a nice jumpshot.

Yeah same.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

actually, they don't. each lottery is a discreet event whose odds are independent from every other lottery.

for example, you flip a coin 9 times and it comes up heads. what are the odds of it coming up heads the 10th time you flip it?  :)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Thought they moved up to get KO?

Anyway every time I watch the lottery we get screwed! So I am going to take one for the team and not watch it, hope it breaks the curse. Of course I will check to see what happened the moment it is over.
