Everyone needs to calm down and please do not listen to Stu Jackson, former Executive V-P of the NBA. His comments of last night demonstrated to me his bias and lack of objectivity in such matters! Stu did not yet have all the facts and yet had already condemned Isaiah to a suspension.
A review of the facts demonstrate that Isaiah had his arm stretched to point to Jerebko, who was inbounding the ball, not to pass the ball to him because he was guarded but to the player to Isaiah's left. It was at this moment that Schroeder got into Isaiah's air space withe arm already stretched out. As Schroeder was moving really closely towards Isaiah, Isaiah started pulling his arm back to his body and his arm had the affect of slapping Schroeder's head on the side. It was not intentional nor was it a direct straight on blow to the head.

What Stu Jackson said last night was nothing like what I just described. Stu has too admt he was wrong. He is a flawed man whose  incompetance is based on poor judgement and lack of objectivity! I believe in the 2013 playoffs, Stu was still the Executive V-P when Dwyane Wade blatantly gave Lance Stephansen a hard flying hit with his arm to the head of Lanc. The game had to be stopped because Lance was disoriented! ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BBVK0CDo8O0 ).  The result of that assault was only a flagrant 1....enough said!!! The Wade hit was 10 times worse than what happened yesterday! Stu and the NBA in general , in the past had their obvious biases. Let's see today if this zebra has changed its stripes?

According to twitter he's not suspended!

Source?  This would be great news but Twitter is a big place.

I wonder if the team picks up the tab for those types of fines, or if Smart pays himself.

Sounds like he will.  Bummer.

There's the excuse for when the Celts lose in 5.  AB's injury, IT suspended for game 4, this series means nothing.   ;D

Look on the bright side - weren't you saying for most of the offseason that our best-case scenario was winning a game in the playoffs?  Well, here we are.   :D

Absolutely.  Last night was great.  I'm genuinely relieved to know that, regardless of what happens, the Celts can say they've won a game in convincing fashion against a quality opponent.

Would you need a stool for that, big guy? :P

Haha IT is the man. No wonder this team has such a tough mentality (outside of KO?  :P ) when the leader of the team is a boss.

So how does this work, if he gets flagrant 1 outside the game?

One more flagrant foul in game 4 and he is kicked out?

Great news, Trying to be objective here but I think if IT was still on the Suns and did the exact same thing I still wouldn't want him suspended. He's a great player who carries himself like a NBA all star should and has earned some benefit of the doubt.

On to game 4, lets play some ball!

You know, I'm not sure if that's a thing tbh. Is there a rule that you can't get flagrants in back to back games?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Whew!

Thank God.

I'm sure that Shroeder will take some exception to this...I look for him to be a bit more instigative next game.

Schroder won't

IT won't do this again as the refs will be eyeying him like a hawk

Both CBS and Bud will tell the guys to forget about this and concentrate on playing properly

You can't be serious. Just like you offered your opinion I am going to offer mine. There's no doubt in my mind IT did this on purpose, but he knew EXACTLY what he was doing to make it look better. Now, I still don't think it was suspension worthy and nor does the NBA, but if you think this was a freak accident by 2 unaware players you've got some serious green shaded glasses on my friend.

http://www.slamonline.com/media/slam-tv/watch-should-jeff-teague-be-suspended-for-punching-nemanja-bjelica/#CKkmLekE56lITWb0.97

Teague did something similar a few weeks back and avoided punishment so we will see.  It will be an incredible double standard if they suspend IT.

TP - that is the best comparative video I've seen so far and ironically it was a member of Atlanta. Again, not a punch, but he was clearly aiming for the face in a less than aggressive manner.

Wow. Hadn't seen that. Yeah, if Teague didn't get suspended, neither should IT.

And I just saw that he avoided suspension. Yes!!
