I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Bummer.  Hate the idea of playing the cavs in the second round. Maybe we should fall to 6th.

Cavs? Lol, I'd be happy to get out of the first round at this point. I agree, I would much rather face Atlanta. We're better off with the 6th seed.

Why? Did you just see what kind of shooting power Atlanta has compared to Miami? It would probably take 7 to beat Miami but Atlanta beats the C's in 5 or 6.

Dude, they were just hot tonight. You think they're going to shoot that well? And they were at home. It's one regular season game. Just look at their players three point shooting stats. It's not that impressive.

They are 3-1 versus the C's compared to Miami who hasn't beaten the C's yet. You say you regular season doesn't matter but matchups do. Atlanta is a better team than Miami. The playoffs will show you that.

Look I hope you're right, but I have no respect for Atlanta. Their is a reason their regular season wins dipped from last year. They are basically at our level. Miami can play at another level IMO. Also, we won the season series last year vs. Atlanta, and they were better last year. I don't read much into the Reg. season. There were people who thought Atlanta was going to beat Cleveland last year. And then Klove got hurt and they still got destroyed in I believe 5. Just saying.

You basing your opinion on potential. You should go by the season and what you've seen with your eyes. Miami cannot shoot that is a fact. That bodes better for a C's team that doesn't exactly light it up well themselves compared to the spacing Atlanta throws out there.

Okay bro. I just think the playoffs are different and it seems like to me Miami is built for halfcourt offense. We will see soon enough.

And Miami wasn't even in the Playoffs. The Hawks have proven time and time again over the last 2 years that they are much better than the Heat. You're entitled to your opinion, but providing a bit of actual evidence might help others to see where you're coming from.

I feel like they are much deeper this year roster wise. You don't think so? Winslow, Richardson, a much better Deng...

They're certainly better than last year, but I don't think they have top end talent, we've proven to match up well against them, and I don't think there's much of a chance that Bosh comes back (and even if he did he'd be super rusty).
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Bonehead Sully killed momentum. IT4 took Kobe's advice too far and ballhogged. Too many 3's taken and missed. Evan Turner turnover the ball too much.

And the Heat's best players are someone we can put somebody on to limit them. Who are we gonna put on Millsap? When Amir sits who guards Horford? Where are we gonna hide IT? Dragic is good, but I trust IT to do a better job on him than on Teague and Schroeder. Bradley sits down, we can put Smart on Wade

what happened in the fourth quarter that atlanta could pull ahead as they did?

Selfish IT forcing bad shots and turnovers. Sullinger came in and killed us in the second half after we started Smart after his insane first half, same with KO.

Smart and Amir were the only bright spots. Bradley was great defensively, but neither him nor Jae could hit crap. Most of this loss was on IT, though. He was pretty bad defensively (per usual), couldn't hit crap, and you could almost tell that he flipped a switch and decided he was going to try and win us this game, which he obviously did the opposite of.

That 4th foul on Amir was killer. Wouldve gone with Olynyk rather than Sully though, against this team.

That's a really good point actually and maybe I'm an idiot. But I'm still sticking with the Heat. I just like their potential and intangibles.

Just to be clear, I never said Bosh was going to be there in the first round. I thought it was more likely for the 2nd round.

And yeah we do match up well against their guards. I forgot about that part. But I do think we will have trouble scoring against them because they are a half court team and that is what the playoffs are about. But I could just be an idiot. However, I just say what I feel and see.

The thing is, Brad was claiming that he wasn't even in the area to get the foul called on him. I'd like to see that again, because that's a game changing play and big F up by the refs if so.

so, IT and others played hero-ball instead of CBS system ball. sigh. i think they all tried too hard to win this one.

but the playoffs are around the corner and phoenix won!!! so the evening is not a total loss.

and smart's line looked really good for a change.

Smart was really good. Even if he missed those 3s they were good open shots in the flow. Had some nice hustles as well and did really limit Korver.

What were we doing in that long stretch in the 4th when we had Jerebko and Kelly in there while Smart was on the bench?

That stretch to start the 4th was just ugly basketball that rotation wasn't working and we rode with it forever.

There was absolutely no justification for having Smart on the bench that long. He switches very versus nearly every position, which they were taking advantage of, and he was the only one who could really hit a shot. That's just horrible rotation management not having him out there, especially when IT, Bradley, and Crowder were all God-awful shooting for the night.
