I'm going to get killed on this board, but I'm pretty confident Miami will beat us in 5.

How do you figure? We've dominated them this year, and they've been absolutely terrible on the road recently.

IMO, they have been saving themselves for the playoffs. I think they will take it to another level and D-wade will play well. But you could be right, just not buying their regular season inconsistency. They remind me a an old veteran team that has been waiting for the playoffs to come. I also like Winslow as a defender.

Winslow doesn't start though, does he? It's Dragic, Wade, Deng at the 1-2-3, correct? That means that Dragic will be on IT for the most part (because Wade is too old and they want to save his energy for offense), and IT will kill Dragic offensively.

Winslow averages 29 minutes a game man. They mostly play small ball too. Deng has been playing 4 lately. When Bosh comes back, Whiteside will be on the bench. However Bosh is more likely to come back in the 2nd round.

Bummer.  Hate the idea of playing the cavs in the second round. Maybe we should fall to 6th.

Cavs? Lol, I'd be happy to get out of the first round at this point. I agree, I would much rather face Atlanta. We're better off with the 6th seed.

Why? Did you just see what kind of shooting power Atlanta has compared to Miami? It would probably take 7 to beat Miami but Atlanta beats the C's in 5 or 6.

Dude, they were just hot tonight. You think they're going to shoot that well? And they were at home. It's one regular season game. Just look at their players three point shooting stats. It's not that impressive.

Agree.....we played good ...till the cold streak hit .......I agree , I think we are as good , the records are the same .  We lost to,the Nets and Lakers  :-X...  I'm not conceding a series to the Hawks or Heat.   I think if heathly we can win

I THINK WE can win a series with the Hawks .

If we fall to 6 we're losing the first round in 4 or 5 against a battle tested Hawks team that has plenty of experience winning games in the post-season and can kill us at both big positions.

They lose a road game on 2nd night of back-to-back (that was close for most of the game) because Milsap goes off and they go cold and suddenly its a sweep?

Unreal.

I don't buy that it'd be an easy series. They shot extremely well tonight, we went cold in the second half, it's the second night of a back-to-back, and we were in Atlanta - so they were primed to win this one. I think it'd be a tough series for us, though, and it'd probably go 6 or 7 games. I'd say it's a 53-47 type of advantage for them, but then again I don't expect as many of our players to have bad nights as they did tonight.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Why do you keep bringing up Bosh when there is no time table of a return?

We beat Heat when they had Bosh and when they didn't and Whiteside doesn't seem to bother the Celtics too much, for whatever reason. We've beaten Charlotte twice in their own gym. I'm not honestly worried about either of those two teams and the statistics bear it out.

TP. We soundly beat both teams twice, so I don't see why people are worried. We matchup very well with both teams, and we've shown that we can handle them. Bring them on, but it sucks that we're going to see the Cavs in the second round if we advance.
I also think Budenholzer is probably the only Eastern coach that can out-coach Stevens.

Look I hope you're right, but I have no respect for Atlanta. Their is a reason their regular season wins dipped from last year. They are basically at our level. Miami can play at another level IMO. Also, we won the season series last year vs. Atlanta, and they were better last year. I don't read much into the Reg. season. There were people who thought Atlanta was going to beat Cleveland last year. And then Klove got hurt and they still got destroyed in I believe 5. Just saying.

Where are you getting this Bosh stuff from? He's not coming back.

Did you read what I said lol? He probably won't play in the first round is what I said so he won't be a factor...

And likely through it all, first round exit or not, Brooklyn will still be terrible.

This is also one of the RARE teams that has a coach as good as Stevens .

Hawks play aggressive team basketball ......same as Celtics .

I think it's a near 50/50 tossup

Even last year we played the Heat well and Hawks bad. Its matchups. The Hornets might be than the Pistons but the Celtics will have a harder time against the Pistons than the Hornets.

It seems like Bosh is optimistic and that is why I think he will be back in the playoffs. I never said I think he will play in the first round. You guys don't think the Heat would be secretive about his return?

You basing your opinion on potential. You should go by the season and what you've seen with your eyes. Miami cannot shoot that is a fact. That bodes better for a C's team that doesn't exactly light it up well themselves compared to the spacing Atlanta throws out there.

I feel like they are much deeper this year roster wise. You don't think so? Winslow, Richardson, a much better Deng...
