Best thing that could have happened is Phoenix won! :D

3rd Pick is much more important than the 3rd Seed, but it would've been nice to have both.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Such a frustrating game, and the fact that it had so many ramifications for the playoffs makes it worse.

We'll still be in the fourth seed most likely, but we'll need to take care of business against Charlotte on Monday.

I don't like the matchup against the Heat, either.  The best 1st round opponent would be the Hornets.  Doesn't look like it's gonna happen.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Where does the Celts defense rank league wide over the last couple of months?

Seems to me the defense is nowhere near where it was earlier in the year.

I think I read something that our defense went from 4th to 8th in just the time crowder was out
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

  • GOT IT!!!
That was basically a playoff game. Same result as last year against Cleveland. C's really needed that 3rd seed.

Hope and pray the Celts don't face the Hawks in the post-season.

It won't be pretty.

Why?  They were pretty much equal for most of the game.  Cs went ice cold and Hawks didn't.

Time to trade IT4, Sully, and Turner!  ::) ::) ::) ::)

Turner is getting away with a lot of this game. He should be getting a lot of heat cause he was terrible.

Sully and IT gave this game away. Absolutely pitiful. Thomas is absolutely horrible tonight.

And Brad screwed us over by not keeping the ball running through Smart.

I've said it all along -- we must upgrade from IT. He's too much of a liability defensively, and he's a horrible decision-maker for a point guard. He should be the sixth man, because that's what he's built for. Tonight shows exactly why.
been saying the same thing myself.  it's not a popular opinion.

I'm still fairly certain that Smart will be back starting again next season, especially given the progress that he's been showing. There was just no way to move him to the bench once Smart got back and took awhile to round into shape, and it's not like you can move him there now.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

In a 7 game series I think it's very likely we are the colder team while they are the hotter team.

Most pathetic offensive display or should I say disarray I have ever seen. The Hawks owned us in the 2nd half . We fall as soon as IT couldnt buy a freakin basket

Eh, if you look at them statistically, they're a streaky shooting team as well.

Bummer.  Hate the idea of playing the cavs in the second round. Maybe we should fall to 6th.

I'm going to get killed on this board, but I'm pretty confident Miami will beat us in 5.

OK - they are a better shooting team.  That's not breaking news and if the Cs get the 4th seed they won't be playing ATL until the EC Finals.
